    I’ll be waiting for that one as well. Surely that will be a special Ed announced from someone. The Hornby 60 has always been very highly regarded, only let down by its coupling pocket issues. It still ranks highly amongst their best models and it will be interesting to see how this one plans to better it.

    Sorry yes that should have been 60019. Got mixed up with the fact that the water tender was rebuilt from 60009’s tender.

    I’m hoping at the very least it’s got an NEM pocket at both ends! Separate handrails etc hopefully as well. It would have been nice if it was a totally new tooling seeing as it’s going on a premium Dublo model. Could also have been used for Dublo versions of blue Bittern as 4492 and Green UoSA 60009. We shall see how much it’s improved/retooled I guess.

    Finally had a reply to one of my questions on one of Hornby’s Facebook posts. Apparently the USA Scotsman’s 2nd tender will have updated tooling. Hopefully that means no more massive D coupling at one end.

    It’s not completely brand new. The coupling system yes, and they tweaked the body, but not totally Did it

    7802 and 7803 were done up with white buffers and smoke box door straps weren’t they? They would make a good exclusive.

    Will 50007 have ploughs? The drawing for 50149 shows them but 50007’s doesn’t. Cheers

    I don’t think they have done anything to the chains on the bogie end. Didn’t they say they were going to mount the body end of the chains to the chassis from now on?

    I did the same. Had some positive feedback in terms of my GT3 and Consett wagons, and also had negative in regards to their refusal to engage earlier in the build and design process. Hopefully they take on board everyone’s recommendations.

    Fox is always my go-to for etched products. Great products and the price is always pretty good as well.
