  1. Doesn’t look warped to me.
  2. Hornby have previously confirmed that 2002 WILL have the separate smoke deflectors.
  3. Given that the lamps are going to be lit, I’d say they won’t be removable unless you’re happy to lose the light feature
  4. @McC have you announced a WCRC version for the next run yet? Why not? Talk about alienating people, geez. 😂
  5. Just finished watching it. Moaned because batteries weren’t included (Royal Mail rules, I checked), said it was bad design of the clips (because he broke one as he used his fingers instead of a small flat head as shown in the recent accura video), but amazing closeup views of the plethora of printed detail.
  6. You definitely arent the only one. I’ve been told watch this space previously so I would say it’s definitely on the cards at some point.
  7. Don’t be silly. Will be the same flangeless wheelset that’s standard now.
  8. Still fairly cheap at Hattons. Hopefully I’ll be pick one up next payday.
  9. Perhaps but the Blue one hasn’t been done before and I can’t find a new LT one anywhere for love nor money so I’m happy. Now I’ve said that someone will provide a link for me lol.
  10. Just had an email about a new run of these locos. Looking forward to the Underground L90. Still a pretty decent price too I’d say.
  11. I’ve had no contact about my sound one either. Will give it a bit longer and then get in touch with them myself.
  12. Thanks Dave. At least that’s given me photo proof of mixed colours within the rakes. Cheers
  13. Excellent thanks for that. Good to have assumptions confirmed. So suggestable to do one end at a time rather than take both buffer beams off perhaps? Thanks for the tips. Will make sure they are correct. Will probably only end up detailing one end anyway so it can still pull using tension locks. Cheers for the replies guys.
  14. Thanks Paul. Good to know they were a bit shuffled later in their life. Some good reference material there so will definitely have a good look through. Cheers
  15. Ok im curious. I have the purple beast on preorder for the next run. Looking through all the details on the site, it shows bufferbeam detail and version 3. But there’s still 2 options in that version. Is that one for each end of the loco?
  16. I’ve started collecting Dapols O Gauge MGR hoppers. So far I’ve picked up a red cradle hooded HAA and a blue cradle non hooded HAA. Before I go further with mixing and matching, were these rakes always matching types of wagons or was there variations in the rake of Hooded/non-Hooded, cradle colour etc.
  17. The archives at the NRM show a drawing from 1937 for a double chimney. Drawing number I-703 if anyone is passing to solve the mystery lol
  18. If you look really closely it seems like the front opening cuts into the side slightly more than the rear opening. Could just be a trick of the light though too. Hard to tell.
  19. Surely Hornby missed a perfect opportunity to make this even more accurate by using the dummy buckeye location for where the actual coupling goes? It’s not like it has to couple up to other stock that’s not APT stock. And if they made the slot wider you wouldn’t notice it either.
  20. Someone else watches Sam’s trains lol. If I remember correct from when I owned mine, they are hard wired with the contacts fixed to the base plate.
  21. Thanks for the non-sarcastic answer Graham. I’m not a southern man so have no idea about the units nicknames.
