    Having been involved in putting a motorised plastic banana on a GWR 4 mm layout, a green EE Type 1 on Sinnington ( Captain Cook never forgave me for that!) and running two C&O E8s on Stoke Summit as part of the "Blue" diesel weekend at the BRM Show at Doncaster a number of years ago - the closest I have got to being lynched was when I ran a O16.5 Corris 0-4-2T on the Wolverhampron layout which tried to demolish a signal .......

    is this when someone comes up to you while you are demonstrating weathering and tells all in the vicinity how rubbish you are and how much better they can do it - and the bite back is when they produce either: 1 my stand is over there and I can sell you lots of airburshed dirty locos or 2 heres one I poured paint over earlier and the audience just ask you to continue with their hands on demo!

    I have a lot of respect a lot of very good modellers and I am happy that I have some of these as friends.They don't go round posturing as being "the bes"t and all will help others either new to the hobby or asking for help. The ones I can't understand are those who through their own self importance realise that they are not quite as good as they think they are. Me, I am just happy to help anyone I can to repay some of the debt I owe to others who have helped me. Barry O
