I have known Mike for thirty odd years and no matter what material he uses he doesn't burn his fingers! He uses the material best suited for the job in hand and is very skilled with the soldering iron. I have learned a lot form him over the years not least of which is right tools/materials to do the job. Just a shame I can't manage to put things together as well as both him and Coachman!!

    If Mike Edge doesn't etch a boiler he must have an easier way to do it - he etches the bits he needs to - so why are we all rushing off etching brass which might be easier to do another way - looks like brass for the boiler and steel for the smokebox/firebox or may be involved? Over to you Mr E (and when do get to weather one??)
