      There must be space as it seems all villages in Lincs are set to grow by 10-15% over the next few years. There must be room for more developers!

      The development in my original post apparently represents a growth of 15% in the village which, it seems, is considered the average in Lincolnshire over the next few years. Most previous development has been "infill" and it came as a shock to see one new site of 50 proposed without any previous warning. Probably won't be able to oppose it.

      I know Sandy. Used to live in Ampthill. Sorry for this query but did you really mean 6,000 (or should it be 600?). How can that town possibly support 6,000 houses? As you say, there is just not sufficient infrastructure.

      Note that my posts did not accuse anyone of being greedy or anything else. I also ran a business and I do understand profit and employment. My original point was purely about the size of development in the place.

      We don't want choc box and too much preservation. Already have some development and some more would be fine just not excessive amount. Still have our shop, lost one pub but still have one and new restaurant. That's fine.

      Have noted that the developer is a builder based in village! Have now discovered that Local Plan apparently does now indeed schedule village for 15% growth = 50 houses - neat!Deveopment surrounds some fields which therefore just might be ripe for future infill to build even more!

    After a demo by Digitrains I bought a DCC Concepts Cobalt Central. Brilliant! Connects straight on to my NCE system and controls all the points without doing anything else. It's my wedding anniversary pressie from the wife - I'll tell her tomorrow!

    The "B" road outside our house has just been resurfaced - "dressed" - this morning. The machine doing it went past the house at amazing speed but it makes me wonder. It all looked super efficient but I have to question just how long it will last!

    Idiots, Idiots everywhere! When i'm already driving behind you you don't suddenly need to turn your rear fog lights on and blind me for the next 10 miles. Add that to his brake lights staying on when he clearly wasn't braking and i still can't see properly. Said pleb almost went to the same destination as me too so i could have unloaded both barrels at him......

    Is anyone else having trouble seeing Photos on Jim's "Down by the tracks"? Lost all pics when I look at thread but all other threads show OK. Tried different browsers but same result.
