  1. Thanks, you have just pre-empted my question about the stanchion sizes, I have been researching photos ready for when my parcel comes down the East Lancs Road from a certain supplier. Everything is just in the planning stage at the moment whilst my elbow replacement sorts itself out after coming off my mountain bike at the back end of last year. Karl
  2. Just caught up with this thread, how come I've missed this beauty? The engineering works and the warehousing are stunning!! I particularly like the stencilling of the names, brilliant!! Karl
  3. Robert, superb layout, such realism displayed. For me, the loco lamps seem to be very prominent, but that's me being ultra picky! I love seeing the pictorial updates on this thread. Karl
  4. Having been inspired by your BTA's, I have just forked out £100+ on 8 X BDA's for conversion. Just hope I can do them justice and get them somewhere near the standard of yours! Karl
  5. Get the 'Soft' copy, it's cheaper, usually available before normal publication. You can keep on your tablet/pc with piles of magazines building up. Keeps her indoors relatively happy Karl
  6. Tom, My wife if from the North East and my Brother in law & I frequently mountain bike the route from Consett to Washington. It was my brother in law who got me interested in the Consett-Tyne dock route and its unique rolling stock. Good luck with your venture Karl
  7. Tom, This looks an interesting project and one that i will follow. Are you considering any Tyne Dock 9F's and associated ore wagons, or is that too much out of area? Regards, Karl
  8. I can agree with your comment about the sand coloured paint, 'Guilty as charged!', i was one of the eejits that sprayed everything that moved. only when we got to Suadi Arabia did we realise the error of our ways!
  9. Tamperman, They would look great around a small barracks diarama. I'd love to get hold of a couple of Airfix Bedords to bash into the Signals Radio Relay wagons I used to maintain. Regards, Karl
  10. Bodge, Definitely like the weathering, especially the 9F. Looks so realistic Regards, Karl
  11. Why do I find 3 colourful sheds strangely appealing?

  14. Superb Iain!! You are doing what I could only dream about. The WCML and the Stanier Pacifics were what drew me to modelling many moons ago.

  20. All, Whilst waiting for a train to St Pancras from Kettering yesterday, Class 37 37706 passed through the station. Adorned on the rear of the loco, attached to the bufferbeam was a V configuration with what looked like lights and cameras. I wasn't fast enough to get a camera out to catch a photo of it. Does anyone have any photos of 37706 with this adornment? If so, could you please post them? Regards, Karl
  21. Working from home today, only to find i had left my laptop charger in a customs office....only 215 miles away!
