At the moment the VCT are having web site issues that they are trying to resolve but are still struggling with. Appears to be down completely for me today so far and when it does appear it takes an age. Regards Guy

Mainline did a Stanier composite, and a a BSK of which I had three and as a RTR offering in BR maroon with crest. I thought they were very nice. I didn't mod them at all as it was a look I was after as opposed to a true prototype. They ran very well and responded nicely to Bachmann wheels and couplings. Long since moved on as I went to Bachmann MK1's. Replica also did a RTR Stanier open third in maroon from the same tooling stable I'm led to believe and they occasionally come up on the eBays although quite pricey. Regards Guy

J4361 isn't an 87 Dave. Air braked. It's an all Mk1 rake! Whilst there we're a fair few dual braked a WCML rake would've been VB and dual heat. Can't suggest an alternative it's a bit indistinct. Some great photos as always! Regards Guy

3926 - 3946 TSO's from lot 30086 (1954-55) were converted to EMU trailers 1966-67 along with all bar 16 of the TSO's in the range 3998 - 4045 of lot 30149 (1955-56). Three of that batch were converted in 1975. Also 14 from lot 30219 of 1957. 21 CK's from 1951 lot 30019 (the first ever batch of MK1 corridor firsts) out of the 33 built all got converted as well along with a few others so I'm guessing that they weren't in bad nick or were worth refurbishing. A lot of them subsequently lasted until the end of MK1 slam door stock as well. Regards Guy

20172 was with 20178 in early July and worked the saturday Leics - Skeg if that's any relevance.......i didn't have the pair again that summer (but it was a busy one). There was a comprehensive list of the Skeg class 20's working by date and train somewhere on the interweb but for the life of me i can't find it now. Typical. Regards Guy

If you Google search Prologis Park Coventry railway sidings it should bring up several images relating to what you've requested. Although no longer in use one siding ran under the canopy which had a long dock under cover where product was taken straight from warehouse to load into wagons. This was bottled water in this case and ceased around 2007 moving to Daventry. There are certainly a couple of images of 66's and wagons under the canopy. Regards Guy

I was at a job not far from Humber Road bridge when this came through south bound. Couldn't see it but whoever was in charge was giving it stacks. The noise was glorious! Took me right back to the 80's. Great echo across lower Stoke!

Too far south.......the actual junction is just North of Hipburn and still clear on Google maps. Looking at historical maps the one further south that you've screen-shot may well have been a quarry or gravel works.....*edited....looks like I've been looking at the old Alnwick junction.
