  1. 3926 - 3946 TSO's from lot 30086 (1954-55) were converted to EMU trailers 1966-67 along with all bar 16 of the TSO's in the range 3998 - 4045 of lot 30149 (1955-56). Three of that batch were converted in 1975. Also 14 from lot 30219 of 1957. 21 CK's from 1951 lot 30019 (the first ever batch of MK1 corridor firsts) out of the 33 built all got converted as well along with a few others so I'm guessing that they weren't in bad nick or were worth refurbishing. A lot of them subsequently lasted until the end of MK1 slam door stock as well. Regards Guy
  2. Just over a third of that first batch of 76 ended up in departmental use with a couple being converted to car flats Regards Guy
  3. How many engines were actually in service during the last week......across the board? I don't think I've heard any figures etc but I'm sure the answer is out there somewhere. Some brilliant photos out there thanks for posting! Regards Guy
  4. July 1983.....Toton. Vac braked with isolated boiler. Still Toton but dual braked by July 85' Regards Guy
  5. ......i was thinking a trans gender Roger Waters front right. At which point.......please can Nidge find some more Western photos! I'll get me coat. Guy
  6. And the bonus of a porthole BSK in blue and white looking very smart behind the engine in the first photo! Nice photos thanks Trev! Regards Guy
  7. J1222. MK2's! Try modelling that. Someone would be muttering about 'prototype' under their breath! Great photo. Regards Guy
  8. 20172 was with 20178 in early July and worked the saturday Leics - Skeg if that's any relevance.......i didn't have the pair again that summer (but it was a busy one). There was a comprehensive list of the Skeg class 20's working by date and train somewhere on the interweb but for the life of me i can't find it now. Typical. Regards Guy
  9. The patch under the second man's window marks it as 40106. There are some good photos of it on flickr which show the patch https://flic.kr/p/9mwMuT
  10. Great photos Trev. Loving the last one.....both engines opened up. That is some serious clag!
  11. You certainly have a knack of catching some tremendous photos Trev! I'm also including the Western ones on the Hydraulic group. Nice to see some P3 Staniers. The composite looks in quite a fresh condition considering they were in their twilight. Top work! Regards Guy
  12. Lovely photos Trev! Thanks for posting them! Regards Guy
  13. If you Google search Prologis Park Coventry railway sidings it should bring up several images relating to what you've requested. Although no longer in use one siding ran under the canopy which had a long dock under cover where product was taken straight from warehouse to load into wagons. This was bottled water in this case and ceased around 2007 moving to Daventry. There are certainly a couple of images of 66's and wagons under the canopy. Regards Guy
  14. I was at a job not far from Humber Road bridge when this came through south bound. Couldn't see it but whoever was in charge was giving it stacks. The noise was glorious! Took me right back to the 80's. Great echo across lower Stoke!
  15. The inside turntables of the old steam shed..... http://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by-side/#zoom=17.79219112417591&lat=52.9120&lon=-1.2784&layers=10&right=BingHyb Regards Guy
  16. Many thanks. What a great resource. Shows how alignments of old railways can be almost totally obliterated. Regards Guy
  17. Too far south.......the actual junction is just North of Hipburn and still clear on Google maps. Looking at historical maps the one further south that you've screen-shot may well have been a quarry or gravel works.....*edited....looks like I've been looking at the old Alnwick junction. Apologies! As usual great photos Dave! Regards Guy
  18. Nice to see some banger blue. 144' and 125' both figured with me for some decent mileage back in the day. Nice photos! Regards Guy
  19. Lab Coach 2 "Electra" belonging to the RTC and now returned to stock and still working with Riviera Trains. http://departmentals.com/departmental/975606 https://flic.kr/p/DFsYd9 Regards Guy
  20. The Identification Confirmation Game is an added bonus to these fabulous portraits mate. It's played regularly on other parts of this forum and appears to be a speciality if those interested in WR hydraulics! Keep em' coming. It's nice to see the experts figuring stuff out and completing the picture (if it needs it!) Regards Guy
  21. I concur with Rob's sentiments on the Peaks on the MML. Great times. Another nice selection thanks Dave. Regards Guy
  22. Cheers Paul. I haven't got great resolution and i had tried to rationalise how the blue stars could look like that given the apparent air brakes. Many thanks Guy (on a dodgy internet connection in South West France!)
  23. J3999. Thats a toffee apple 31009 or 31019 isn't it? Looks like red dot MW markers above the buffer beam but appears to have an air brake pipe above the steam heat pipe? Thought all the 31/0's were VB only. Can't quite make it out. More likely a Yarmouth? Stratford's finest on a day out to the seaside. Great photos as ever Dave. Regards Guy
