Currently listening to "Triumph of an A4 Pacific" whilst gazing upon my newly delivered P2 (thanks Hattons!)...

Why is it that when you're sat at a table, should someone else appear they always sit directly opposite so as to ensure as little legroom as possible for both, then give you a funny look when you move across to the other seat for a bit more legroom. Argh.

One thing about HST's is that it's easy to notice when you're running late and you've a Driver up front who's something of a big hitter!

Sat in Stanley with typical Falklands winter weather. Still at least the pub is open, the food good and RMweb is available to keep me occupied.

Grand sunset over Montrose tonight. All that's missing is a V2 hammering away with a southbound fish working...

Passed my annual 'fitness to run' today, so an evening of booze, baccy and debauchery beckons. After all, it'd be a shame NOT to undo all the good work!!
-
Have just bought my first DCC sound model and now wondering if I need a PhD in electronics to operate the thing...

20 years ago today the world lost Senna, and Ratzenberger the day before.

Another visit to the Southern badlands doth beckon, vaccinations upto date and body armour in the suitcase. The things you do in the name of steam!
-
P2 presentation on Saturday morning then drams with friends, followed by a Sunday morning with No.9. Aye, doesn't get much better.
-
Cheese Beano - oh yes!

Just finished reading 'The Forgotten Highlander' by Alistair Urquhart - required reading along with 'The Railway Man' and 'Surviving the Sword'. Brave men indeed.
