EXHIBITION 2022 UPDATE 16/09/22 Trader Eileen’s Emporium added

Stafford Railway Circle Annual Model Railway Exhibition 24/25 September 2022

Saturday 24 September 2022 and Sunday 25 September 2022

Sunday: 10.00 – 16.30
Admission Prices: Adult: £12, accompanied children under 16 free.

At Stafford County Showground in Bingley Hall.

The County Showground is situated 3 miles to the east of the town on the A518 in the direction of Uttoxeter.

This year the show is going to be bigger and better than ever before. The good news is we will be in the main Bingley Hall at the Stafford County showground which provides more space and much better facilities.

Sat Nav postcode: ST18 0BD

Extended free parking.

A free bus service will run from Stafford railway station to the venue on both days. Details (subject to confirmation) can be found here.

The bus timetable is a guide only except for the last service. We are hoping to have several vehicles avaialble and, at busy times at the beginning and end of each day, buses will depart once full and the next one should be right behind it.

I'm surprised to see that in a show of this size there are no P4 or EM layouts.  Maybe this is because it clashes with Scaleforum?

DT

The omission of EM & P4 layouts this year is recognised by the exhibition team.

In past years we have always tried to exhibit layouts from all the major scales

As you can imagine having had to cancel both our 2021 & 2022 February exhibitions and reschedule for our new September date has caused a lot of extra work.

Also during the covid restrictions and the cancellation of exhibitions looking for suitable layouts has not been easy.

Hopefully with the exhibitions returning to normal we will have EM and P4 layouts at our future exhibitions.

Implausibly I might manage to be there on the Sunday. Saturday we are staying with Sherry's daughter in Crewe for an English Youth Ballet performance in Stoke (Sherry's grand-daughter dancing) so Sunday is up for grabs. Sherry has multiple friends locally, having lived in Little Haywood for many years and taught In Stafford.

The line-up Eltel has posted is mouth-watering. Fingers crossed.

That's great to hear... after all the Waterloo Tavern can't be without its landlord for too long at a time...

I've really enjoyed this show in the past and I'm sure it'll be a cracker again. Unfortuately won't be able to make it along as it clashes with Scaleforum and I'd already committee to going to that before the Stafford dates were announced.

Final exhibition plans coming on nicely, the clubroom a hive of activity last night.

As well as getting ready for our exhibition we are testing Whiteacres after some major electrical updates which you can all see at the Hornby exhibition in early October.
