  1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993_European_Grand_Prix I was at the practise day in the pouring rain .No idea where my photos are .
  2. Sadly HMRS products are very poor the last time I used them (alignment) . I would also go to Fox or Railtec
  3. Postal address at the bottom of the page. https://www.brassmasters.co.uk/how_to_buy.htm Alan Gibson only use a P.O Box as well.
  4. Look at all their reports over the years and you will see a common pattern of etc etc !!!
  5. Smoke and Mirrors and Sweeping Statements commonly known as Bull Ship !! . Unless every 'first time buyer" answered a questionarre saying so?, simply impossible for Hornby or anyone else to know or prove otherwise. Hornby live in hope.
  6. Latest update on the A2 . Loco body is 99% finished . Need final filler clean up and a location holes drilled for Three "Levers" on the Offside next to the Firebox , they will be fitted last as will other Brass fittings after painting and decalling. Cab interior to be painted then the Cab Roof will then be fitted and exterior painted etc. Chassis will be sorted once the Drivers arrive (thanks to Daddyman). I emailed Squires who list Romfords, and they have'nt even had the courtesy of a reply so far after three days.
  7. Sorry they are 20 spoke , I need the 22 spoke version. Thanks for looking.
  8. They are the tapped Nickel Silver rims versions . 26mm 22 spoke. No Balance weights. Thanks for looking.
  9. I use ebay all the time . The minor problem is I only need two .All on ebay seem to be always sets of six. I doubt if anybody would spilt the sets they are trying to sell off. A couple (I need one insulated and one plain) will turn up, I am in no rush at the moment.
  10. They obviously never learned with the broken fronts on the W1, from a similar cause.
  11. Wanted !! I have now got to the chassis stage on the A2 and found that about 25 years ago DJH managed to supply 4 x 26mm plain and insulated Driving wheels , and for what ever reason they also include one insulated and one plain 27mm Drivers, all in the original still sealed bag !! Obviously the 27mm versions are not a lot of good 25 years on. Has anybody got a spare pair of 26mm Romford drivers with Nickel Silver tyres versions, one in Plain and one Insulated, without the cast balance weights versions please. A good price will be paid for them. No one seems to sell the Romford or Markits versions at the moment. Wizard are out of the modern version. Thanks.
  12. Leave it well alone. Removing the Crest will leave marks/shadow on the paint, varnishing may or may not hide the marks.
  13. No interest multi coloured Milk Floats at best. Processional racing at at some poor/very poor temporary "circuits".
  14. Photos here https://www.locomotionmodels.com/exclusives/steam-locomotives/flying-scotsman-1924-british-empire-exhibition-condition
  15. I have never seen/read anything relating to Sentinels being used for anything ,other than for normal passenger use.
  16. Last LNER Sentinel Railcar was withdrawn in 1948 . According to attached link East Anglia based Sentinels finished by around 1939 . https://www.lner.info/locos/Railcar/sentinel.php
  17. You only have 6 months to make a claim on a Credit Card.
  18. Look on the Hornby service sheet .
  19. https://laisdcc.aliexpress.com/store/2977030?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.f22d1802A61pjR I sourced a motor for my Q6 on here very cheap. Flywheels were easy , simply cut the flywheel off the shaft as motor is duff anyway . Heat flywheel on a gas ring, pull old shaft out and push new motor shaft onto the flywheel before it cools.
  20. Simply send it back . Is the mould line of the Boiler side really that bad ? The broken part is the Speedo Bracket.
  21. Yes, the resin was a slight pain to drill , be careful of "skidding" as you start the holes the resin is a bit brittle as well. I also added a new Chimney and brass Straps on the rear area between the sides and the rear bufferbeam, and a front coupling. Roof was'nt a good fit and adjusted to fit better. Steel version One of the two wood versions.
  22. I have built the LNER versions including the Steel model , the lettering on them was even worse. Wrong typeface, etc etc. I changed the Handrails on mine as well before they broke, as far too fragile.
