RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted April 9, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 9, 2017 Some "into the wagon" shots - hard to get accurately as the train is doing 60/70mph as it passes ! Let me know if you want more, and what you are after and I'll try ...
RMweb Gold Revolution Ben Posted April 9, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 9, 2017 Hi Das, Those are really useful, thanks. They definitely help with the contour of the interior curved baffle. Cheers Ben A.

RMweb Gold Revolution Ben Posted June 15, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 15, 2017 (edited) Hello all, Apologies for the lack of updates - an oversight. The CAD drawings are nearing approval. This is where they are at the moment: Original with parking brake wheel on body: This for EWS Construction, Cemex, DB red and Ermewa/Tarmac. Revised VTG version with parking wheel on bogies and extra biodyside strengthening panels: There isn't too much left to do. Once the CADs are completed to our satisfaction we will be ready to open the order book. Assuming people sign up in accordance with the numbers seen registering expressions of interest, and there will be a staggered payment option, then we may have first samples by the Warley National Model Railway exhibition at the NEC. bensanchez43310
Although its abit late on i do have some shots from hayes and harlington, looking at my photos from about London, they do seem to be mixed in with other workings, some are mixed in with the crawley and purley portions to acton and onwards to merehead or whatley, some going out to Dagenham dock. https://www.flickr.com/photos/trainsbysanchez/34214723034/in/datetaken-public/ one shot with what I believe the HOA's are. RMweb Gold MarshLane Posted September 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 25, 2017 Hi Ben, A friend of mine was asking me a few days if I'd heard anything of the proposed Cemex (oops, nearly typed something else there that could have been an explosive comment!) hoppers, and just suddenly remembered your topics on here - are you still on track (no pun intended) to have the samples at Warley? Also any ideas on pricing or staged payments? Did have a look on the website, but there was nothing obvious unless I've missed it! Rich
RMweb Gold Revolution Mike Posted September 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 25, 2017 Hi Rich I'm afraid there is no chance that we will have samples by Warley. We haven't started tooling or opened the order book yet (we can't until we have a price!). Apologies Mike
Steadfast
I had meant to post this at the time, but just found the TOPS consist in a pile of papers at home. Might be useful for those wanting to justify a few to add to an existing rake if they can't afford a full set. 9th August 2017, 6A21 Whatley to Acton had 66152 (DB red, modelled by Farish and Dapol) at the head of 15 RMC JGAs (Farish and NGS), with 4 HOAs on the rear, 19 wagons total. The empties ran as 6V33. Consist was: 13707 19221 13708 17247 17208 17206 13712 17246 19246 17215 17219 19243 19227 17218 19245 (all RMC prefix) 320007 320002 320028 320044 A quick Flickr or Smugmug search should confirm the livery of the HOAs. RMweb Premium njee20 Posted November 17, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 17, 2017 And, as if by magic, I have exactly 15 RMC JGAs, and 66152. What rot.
RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted November 18, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 18, 2017 I'm still photographing every wagon (most times) in the Mountsorrel - Trowse stone trains (normally 16 but occasionally less) so have plenty of reference material when the time comes (if anyone wants it !) - including defaced examples.
RMweb Gold Revolution Ben Posted November 28, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 28, 2017 Hello all, Rapido surprised us at Warley by unveiling a pair of 3D prints taken from the approved CAD for this models. They show both variants - the originals with four reinforcing plates on the sides and the handbrake wheel on the body (at the back) and the latest VTG versions with six plates and the bogie mounted handbrakewheel. Please rememember these are prints and lack the finesse and strength of plastic moulded parts. Some thin or narrow parts are distorted slightly due to the limitations of the material, but they certainly indicate to me that Rapido have got the shape pretty much right, and that the models sit nicely on the bogies which are being reused from the TEA tanker wagons. We hope to open the order book for these in N very soon, and they are scheduled to go into production late on next summer once the Class 92s are completed. There are more images and information on the Revolution Trains website. Cheers Ben A.
Steadfast
Tuesday 19/12/17 saw a set of the Tarmac/ Ermewa wagons head west of London, for possibly the first time. The train was 6V98 Wembley - Whatley, which as far as I can ascertain reloaded for an additional train for St Pancras. Since St. Pancras is a Tarmac site, using the Tarmac wagons into Whatley is less bizarre than it sounds. Anyway, the consist was 21 empty wagons as follows: 66167 (EWS) 706957013-0 706957045-2 706957017-1 706957041-1 706957039-5 706957025-4 706957050-2 706957042-9 706957008-0 706957011-4 706957021-3 706957019-7 706957047-8 706957009-8 706957005-6 706957052-8 706957030-4 706957028-8 706957015-5 706957007-2 706957027-0 Have a good Christmas all! There’ll be those bogies underneath the 00 tankers too.

RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted December 6, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 6, 2018 As the latest newsletter says these are getting close to being available, a reminder that I have plenty of photos of these wagons, typically seeing at least one train per week of 19 and every wagon photographed each time (6L39/47, Mountsorrel - Trowse) - so I will also have history for some - and some are now gratified quite badly. Here's the latest from yesterday : 05 December 2018 Eccles Road 66093 on 6L47, 08:18, Mountsorrel Sdgs - Trowse Yard Redland Siding (12:56) - loaded stone (19 HOA)

Perfect Paul
H00A please...… Subtle hint. Hi Mick, That is only a "small" subtle hint, for a wagon that could have "LARGE" appeal. Here's hoping, or should it be : here's hOOping !!! Cheers. Edited December 20, 2018 by Perfect Paul
RMweb Gold Revolution Ben Posted December 21, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 21, 2018 H00A please...… Subtle hint. Hi Mick, The MMA/JNAs are available in 00 but not yet in N. We are aware that the HOA and MMA/JNA models are are likely to attract the same customer base, so it makes sense to stagger them. Cheers Ben A. Steadfast
Just the one at the head of that rake, but it could easily be a train of 18 or 24 of the things, as they're all used interchangeably Jo
