A Nod To Brent - a friendly thread, filled with frivolity, cream teas and pasties. Longing for the happy days in the South Hams 1947.

The Manor's funnel doesn't look right - or has this been mentioned many times before?

  Happy New Year.

Good grief man, are you trying to get the Rivet Police to raid us?

Surely we all know it's just the very limited-edition Christmas special version?

Was There? I'm aware of the plywood streamlined schools, but a Nelson?

Well, I stretched the truth a little  considerably, but 30857 (when 857) had a special round topped, Nickel Silver boiler (fitted in January 1937 to June '39 as a test bed for a planned Maunsell 4.6.2. or 4.8.0. loco design), and joggled deflector plates.:diablo_mini:

Possibly a case of having put too much coal on the fire and the inside of the signal box is now too hot?

Possibly a case of the windows being stuck and the civil engineers haven't got round to fixing them yet...?

I've been informed that by keeping my mind active with modelling it will enhance my well being,
So may I wish all in the Parish of Brent a Happy 2015 !

Most every day time is spent at Brent. (Poetry!)  Its been so for the last few years and although not my scale, gauge or primary interest, it has given much pleasure with its association with a railway and part of the country I knew so well!  Thanks for that!:good_mini:

Happy New Year.
