I'm not sure that would be in keeping. I like a dirty loco as much as the next man, but the green diseasels were after all new, so you can't perhaps dirty it up as much as, for instance a later BR blue era one would be, when cleaning became a lost art, apparently.

As an aside........and this in now way should be regarded as leading anywhere.......much....

 

Would any of you learned types know of any fundamental visual differences between a Class 10 shunter and a Class 08 shunter ? 

 

Which brings me to............

 

One presumes that it would not be as simple as renumbering an early 08.....it never is but thought I would ask.
