big T
Looking good Trev - what shade and length grass are you using? It looks very convincing. Cheers Hi Sam, Thank you. I'm using a couple of different lengths and Im kind of testing it as I go along really to find the best method. I thought about putting down a base level of 2.5mm Summer mix, then adding a second patchy sprinkling of something a bit longer. The longer fibres are 6mm from memory but they are very difficult to control, and arent as densely packed together as I'd have liked. I have ordered something in the middle (4mm from memory) so Ill have to see how that goes. Overall I'm impressed with the grassmaster and I'm getting better results than I did with the converted sieve jobbie I had before. I just need to get a hang of those longer fibres! big T
Grass lookin great mate i need to get one my self and yet more EE products in your photos pal . Nice one. Thanks matey Its gone fairly well, if not a bit patchy in places. Yep, got a few more tractors out last night, this time 694 made a brief appearance. Its one of the original 8 poin batch, but has had the odd mod, including windscreen replacement and whitemetal bufferage. She could do with sound fitting when I get paid again! Ive got a rake of Chibbles to get done, but its the cost! (Ill get a couple out tonight) Cheers Trev.

I think so, as the original ones have a bit of a stigma as being a bit cack. Not sure why, maybe better tooling and accuracy on the later ones maybe? big T
I have been having a play with longer lengths of fibre tonight. I need to perfect my technique too haha!! (God bless Youtube!) I have tried to represent Spring to Summer, and particularly after a pass from the weedkiller train - hence the light brown grass adjacent to the green tufts.. I would welcome your comments on this, and if you have had success with long fibres! Cheers Trev Edited August 11, 2016 by big T

big T
Nice work as ever. What's the metal swarf made of in the MBAs ? It looks very good. Hi Rob, and thank you. The swarf is actual swarf - obtained by a mate who's family run an engineering business. Its varying grades, with bits of stuff and general crud thrown in for good measure. then glued down and airbrushed. One wagon load was very interesting as it has some kind of weird chemical reaction, gave off heat and started to smoke when being glued. most odd. Ive done some SSA's too. I will have to find a pic of their loads too. Cheers for now Trev
