Don't rise to the bait. Don't rise to the bait. Don't rise to the bait.

Anyway Voyagers aren't so bad, try one on the WCML, by golly they can shift and rather nice in the first class.

Oh fork it- rise to the bait...

voyagers exist for ONE purpose and ONE purpose ONLY. To give European Metal Recyclers something to look forward to in 2036.

Oh and I suppose a second one- for most heritage railways to get a couple- and still paint them in lined maroon...

Hi. Tonight I have a couple of photo's. The first one shows a class 108 set leaving Beverley station going down the line to Bridlington. It is a formation of two two car sets in May, 1986. Then follows a photo on board a class 108 approaching Beverley from Bridlington on Easter Saturday, 1987. The driver is applying the vacuum brake.

I'm building a three car Class 101 set, sort of.  By chopping Hornby's R157 bodies to get to scale length. . ( My family motto is bodge-Ho!)  Purists look away now!  Now getting near to painting time.  Does any supplier  do  an early DMU Green  as a spray can??

as i cannot afford proper kit.

Thank you for any info.

always remember that particular 'shhhwww' sound as they brought the brake in bit-by-bit, then the train gradually squeaked to a halt (watching from behind the glass)

A DMU lash-up was de rigeur for certain go-anywhere railtours.

Here, the Bevercotes Collier, with a 101 + Trans-Pennine 124 combination, three shots at Bevercotes Colliery itself, and another at an unknown location (anyone help? might be somewhere in the Barnsley/Wakefield area).

Seem to recall that we stopped for an hour or so at some junction when the driver realised he didn't have route knowledge, and another had to be called out. Must have been some rare track if the driver didn't know it...

Hi. Tonight it is a journey back to 25th, July, 1984. We are stood on the footbridge at Beverley, near to Flemingate L.C. There is a train leaving Beverley to Hull composed of a class 105 Cravens, DTSL + DMBS. and a class 114 Derby Heavyweight. I think the DMBS is the front car of the class 114.

Please note that the Cravens DMBS has received the modified exhaust pipes - you can tell since they are not routed up through the guards van.

I was on that, a fantastic tour with some pretty rare track, my red pen almost ran out after that one!

E79962 at Keighley, can this work in multiple ?

attachicon.gifE79962.jpg

No these weren't actually fitted with multiple working equipment, not sure if the continental versions had it. The BR ones were designed to pull a trailer but none were ever built

A question that I have is the L588 the set number like for instance 156470 is the set number which has vehicles 52470 and 57470 or is it something different like for depot identification ?
