Indomitable026 Posted April 20, 2013 Share Posted April 20, 2013 Right then, Now the dust is settling a little from the 'Black Country Blues' whirlwind and the garden is starting to come round after a few days effort, thoughts are now turning to the long list of jobs i'm now planning on the layout. Jobs; Track Install new cross-over at the righthand back of the layout - to reduce the amount of tracks from three to two exiting the board. and to make room for a full depth signal box Ease the radius on two loop points and corresponding reverse curve - a constant source of de-railments Full gauge and railhead condition checks Fiddle yards Two new fiddle yards, with points and both the same length - currently the left hand one is one 3 feet long (the other is 7!) Buildings/ civils Build St Blazey signal box Complete girder bridge on Par lines Mount all removeable buildings. (so as not to forget them at a show - i'm over it) Fit doors to wagon works building and internal concrete floor Install concrete apron on the track ends around the turntable Build yellow out building and concrete huts Signals Install bracket signal on the Up Par Install signal on the Down Par Install signal on the Par docks line Presentation Upgrade fascia in line with current BCB standard Photo Backscene? Re-build light units to eliminate 'shadow' at very front of the layout Transportation A second transit box for board three and legs and bits Fiddle yards tranist face to face All fascias travel in 'coffin' which can be flipped over to form a platform to stand on at the back of the layout Electrics Give consideration to Geoffs seperate DCC sections with boosters Fault find the small dead section on the back road wire Par lines Locomotives finish large logo 37/4 finish intercity-mainline 37/4 Start 37207 in Departmental grey finish 37035 in 'Dutch' start 50046 'Ajax' black roof - phoooowww complete 3rd 08 Get 56013 running Don't get the 'Duff' running - thinking about adding a 'won't start' sound track to it Stock Create UK fertilizer rake expand 'silver bullet' rake finish large Cargowagons Standardise on wagon weights So now i have a list - and i know where to find it.
