Bargain Hunters Mark 2

Recommended Posts

P class 0-6-0s and Andrew Barclay 0-4-0s still available to pre-order on Hattons website until it closes on 31 Jan (tomorrow).

Not sure whether the Andrew Barclay locos will be produced as last I read Hattons were ‘considering’ doing a last run, but they had said they will definitely produce the P class models.

There is very, very little left - and noticeably every last one of their Genesis range of coaches has been sold out on preorder (no bargains to be had there!)

Steve S

(hoping his order for a P and two ABs will come through eventually)

Think they need to be a bit more open re what the issue is with the 121 / 122s as it could be a slight mark or it could be finger prints stuck on nearly all the windows.

It's a grading rather than a description of that particular model. I've had a few from there and haven't had any issues even on grade 2 models.

Significant marks would preclude it being grade 1 though.

Edit: They never include instructions which can be irksome if you bought a DCC sound one...

Bachmann Intercity Swallow SOUND FITTED 47/8 available from Kernow for £230. I actually purchased on a couple of months ago, but forgot to post here. Still one available.

https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/71816/35-413SF-WSL-Bachmann-Class-47-4-47828-BR-InterCity-(Swallow)

something of a steal given the value of the ESU v5 inside.

Really lovely model and I've enjoyed playing with mine (albeit had to send the first one back due to poor stripe printing by Bachmann)

Rails are now selling on the Dapol plain black Terriers they got from Hattons.

https://railsofsheffield.com/products/Dapol-7s-010-015-terrier-a1x-plain-black

Only £125!

Just noticed a rather weird paragraph at the end of the description

Quote

They were distributed across most of the GWR network and, after nationalisation of the railways in 1948, across the British Railways Western Region, and also other regions.

Obviously a cut'n'paste error!

Kernow limited edition sound fitted class 90-£199, the Dcc ready version only £40 less which is what the non sound decoder from Bachmann would cost.

Good call. Similarly, the mid spec 37012 with DCC sound is going for a tad over £103 off RRP
