RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted February 27, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 27, 2018 Well, we did get to Trago this morning and after having noted my annoyance at them not stocking any rawlplugs other than teeny-tiny or enormously-huge, I found CTMK, who had been on a bit of a shopping spree in the fabric department. CTMK also made the tea again tonight, so I didn't have to.

RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted February 28, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 28, 2018 The short-lived Acting Deputy Temporary South Hams Blizzard has now finished. The ground is slightly whiter than it was before and the postie's legs are doubtless a little bit colder.
RMweb Premium Tim Dubya Posted February 28, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted February 28, 2018 (edited) We had a 5 minute blizzard in Baff yesterday but so far so good today. edit: It has started snowing again but with the sun out this time Edited February 28, 2018 by Tim Dubya

On a different vein, we should all be outraged that our favourite coffee shop in Totnes has now been turned into a tapas bar.

Yes, that is outrageous behaviour! All fine and dandy having a tapas bar in Londinium (as we say in Sulis) or Manc-hester but in Totnes - absolutely abhorrent!

Is there not a 'Costa' or even better a 'Starbucks' where you can give a ridiculous false customer name? I use 'Ichabod' or 'Arbuthnot' usually! Yes, that is outrageous behaviour! All fine and dandy having a tapas bar in Londinium (as we say in Sulis) or Manc-hester but in Totnes - absolutely abhorrent! I shall look forward to trying it out! Cap'n you could now use your new linguistic skills in Totnes! Edited February 28, 2018 by Re6/6

It isn't quite like the normal pictures one sees of Bath residential properties. But thank goodness it has normal people living there unlike other parts of Bath. RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted March 1, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 1, 2018 Is there not a 'Costa' or even better a 'Starbucks' where you can give a ridiculous false customer name? I use 'Ichabod' or 'Arbuthnot' usually! Certainly not, Gervaise. Totnes is now known as the town that successfully fought to keep Costa out, so I suppose that Starbucks didn't even dare try. Recommended coffee place in Totnes now is The Curator Cafe, on The Plains, or perhaps one of the small, veggy 'right-on' ones up the High Street.
