RMweb Premium Tim Dubya Posted February 5, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted February 5, 2018 With the exception of the Great Western bridge in the foreground, this view is pretty much unchanged 65 years later. Although I'm not sure if the phone box is still there?

RMweb Premium Tim Dubya Posted February 5, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted February 5, 2018 The bus is still there too ? Bet the passengers are getting angry. Think they've gone in the Hope & Anchor for some refreshments. That is most likely the same phone box! I'm beginning to wonder whether that bus still exists, now? We'll all have to buy a copy of Not Jeremy's new (when it comes out ) book

RMweb Premium Tim Dubya Posted February 5, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted February 5, 2018 That yellow line is a bit far from the kerb. Indeed sir it is! It's fortunate that you moved away from the area as you've avoided the dictatorship council that is BaNES. Fuzzy Logic at its finest.
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted February 5, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 5, 2018 I think it's a new phone box, as it appears to be nearer the road than in the earlier picture.

Don't they ever widen roads in Cornwall then? Don't answer that. I know the answer.
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted February 5, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 5, 2018 I have no experience with loft layouts, although I did once keep my layout wrapped up in two consecutive lofts for a few years (or was it three consecutive lofts, can't remember). RMweb Premium Clive Mortimore Posted February 6, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 6, 2018 I'm thinking about some more meaningless drivel about Art. Some would say you have just summed up Art. "All artist are only talking to themselves." Vivian Stanshall, on John Peel radio show 1978.

RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted February 10, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 10, 2018 CTMK and I recently had occasion to use the footbridge at Paignton North level crossing recently: As you can see, it was raining. We did, at least, visit the model shop afterwards.

brianusa
Nice picture! The last time I crossed over that bridge, there was a Castle piloted by a Hall on a Paddington train, waiting for the gates to close! Not much else has changed over the years, even the Winter rain which was the best time to be in Paignton without the crowds; Dellers(?) café with steamed up windows!
