Popular Post shedman
This is a photo from my former layout “Walkden Yard”, based on the Central Workshops of the NCB NW Area at Walkden, west of Manchester. 47669 is there because in April and May 1960 it was provided by BR to cover for ex-North Stafford 0-6-2T No2 which was away at Crewe Works for repainting and then Stoke on Trent for an exhibition celebrating the centenary of the NSR. The layout was built around 2005 and sold in 2008. Edited May 1, 2022 by shedman Replacing photo lost by the Syatem 20
Popular Post Allegheny1600
I found this picture of my old layout recently, thought you guys might like it! It was 00 gauge called “Leigh Moor and Randale Summit” and was 27’ x 9’ Originally built by a former club I was in, I built a 32’ x 12’ shed at the bottom of my garden, it was good fun for a while. Kestrel is on a full 36 wagon mgr train while the Hornby Castle is on about 10 Bachmann mark 1s.

Apologies for going O.T. but in answer to Andy above, I started a suitable discussion here; https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/165006-how-do-you-go-about-designing-a-large-layout/ To make up, here is another view of my old large layout; A weathered class 40 (old Bachmann) storming up the gradient over the viaduct. RMweb Gold AndrueC Posted January 17, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 17, 2022 (edited) The last of the Freightliner wagons sits forlornly in a siding watching trains enter and leave the South Yard.
