RMweb Gold A Murphy Posted January 18, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 18, 2022 I would also like to wish BGman a complete and rapid recovery. We have never met, but some of his commentary on ANTB and elsewhere has had me laughing out loud. Very best wishes, Alastair M 2

RMweb Gold Popular Post Captain Kernow Posted January 20, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted January 20, 2022 Just a quick update to say that as of yesterday evening (in an update to me from his family) Grahame remains in the intensive care ward and although there have been a couple of complications, he is keeping strong and we are hoping that the slow process of recovery is underway. When he is able to take phone calls on the ward again, I will definitely be sharing with him the huge amount of support and all the good wishes that he has received. More updates in due course. 5 6 1

RMweb Gold Popular Post Captain Kernow Posted January 25, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted January 25, 2022 I'm pleased to say that I was able to have a very good chat with Grahame this evening for about 15 minutes and it was really heartening to note that he sounded much better than the previous time. I was able to read off many of the comments from this thread to him, which he was very touched to hear, some of which also elicited a chuckle or two. Prior to the call, his daughter informed me that he was even up and about a bit within the ward today, which is very encouraging, although I think he had a nice long nap this afternoon to sleep it off. He is still very tired and almost anything tires him at the moment, which is to be expected, but he is sounding positive and determined and is looking forward to getting on with his recovery and asked me to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and good wishes. All being well, I hope to have a further update in a few days. 5 3 15

RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted January 26, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 26, 2022 Now that BGbloke is on the mend I'm imagining a scene in hospital... Nurse Agutter listening intently as he explains the intricacies of modelling GWR in 7mm... Still, I'm sure she'll get her own back when it's time for a cold water, rough sponge, bed bath. 2 1 1
