Were they the Airfix versions - I had those too. There was also a Lima inside framed version which I had in BR blue when I modelled in 00. All long gone now.

I've been asleep and changed stock a few times since the late 70's (1970's NOT 1870's before anyone asks), so really cant remember, probably all, knowing me. 🤣

This morning I had a play with some more scenic ideas, and as I said the other day, I've taken a few photos to play around with and find its easier to sit in the chair, with a mug of my favourite for a few days and study ideas.

The first was one I muted a few days ago, and show on the Video, with a Roadway following the lie of the Land and the Rail Line.

It would then end up around the top corner something like this.

The still playing, I thought that a Road Bridge across the cutting might work and give me more fields.

Yes I can see that working quite well Mr P. Plus there's nothing quite like a road bridge as well.

Nah you want sheep or waresheep if you really want to push the boat out.

Don't you need an aqueduct over the railway to really push the boat out?

For my money, that's a much better idea than the road running parallel to the railway. More visual interest and more space for fields ( sheep optional, although @NHY 581 would probably disagree! ).

I rather like the road bridge a deep cutting seems more likely than the tunnel. Mind you I think you could make a nice job of either.

Thanks chaps for all your input, Yes I think the Bridge will work, and the Tunnel Mouth will be just beyond it.

Cheers.

Nope. Fully agree. None of my layouts have or have had,  any Sheep on them.

Rob.

I might have to do a "ROAD CLOSED", due to unsafe Bridge, and some workmen, never seen that done before.

I like that idea a lot. You previous version looked very convincing. I also think it will enhance and go well with the quayside scene.

Just make sure the danger/damage doesn’t mean Railway Closed too.

I saw one layout at a show where their was a hole in the road scene with the top half of the bloke appearing in the hole.  Looked reasonably realisitic.

There was a sight problem, it was on a bridge. I did look under the bridge to see if the bloke's legs were dangling through the bottom of the hole. Didn't find the loco with a pair of legs wrapped around its chimney.

Why not two buses that have crashed on the bridge, with police cars, fire engines, ambulances, and a TV new crew interviewing the eye witness who heard a bang like a bomb going off.

You mean something like I had on Loch Leven back in 2012? NOTE the Policeman's Helmet.

Some of you may remember the embankment I had on Bute Road, (if you can remember that long ago, 🤪), well I used almost half its length behind the Station fencing.

IMG_8010.JPG.81f81968057e0a02403f9e7caefc12c2.JPG

And now this morning I have used the rest as part of the lift off section over the Branch Tunnel. Just needs a bit adding up in the corner and then then the Embankment doing.
