Andrew P Posted August 31, 2022 Author Share Posted August 31, 2022 (edited) So, the changes, well my friend Ian, @Temeraireasked if it might be better with some dead end roads rather than the 8 through roads. Good question I thought. 🙄 Phase 1, Originally I intended to put some Loco Stabling Sidings around the curve at the opposite end to the door. It would have been a bit tight. But after a re think, I have reduced the through Roads to 4, and made the 3 Loco Stabling Sidings coming in from the Door end over the flap. At the end of them will be Staff Car Park, Offices and Portacabins etc. So this is now what I have here, far more spacious and realistic in many ways. Due to the former, I now have more room in the far corner, and so again thanks to Ian @Temeraire I have found room for 3 Engineers Sidings. Andrew P Posted September 1, 2022 Author Share Posted September 1, 2022 SO, Whats he done now I hear you cry. 😮 Well after a lot of thought last night and into about 7am today, I realised I had fallen into the old trap of the Stabling Point. I kept looking at pics of Eastleigh, and then the hammer hit fair and square where it hurts, and that's not on my wooden head. 🤫 So what was the answer, well I would have ended up with the same bad running Locos sitting trapped at the Buffers and never leaving the Yard. So I have now made it double ended, as per Eastleigh, and using a short Head Shunt at the Yard end, for a little more operation. Cheers Paul, Yes originally I planned for that end to come in as loops as well, but it looked as you say, just like more loops, more of the same.
