Yes indeed Key Model World Live is planned already for next year to be on the same weekend 26/27th April 2025.

Having chatted to Sheepbloke about such matters I think this is a sound reason for avoiding that weekend.

I can confirm that SWAG'25 will be held on.....

SUNDAY 6TH APRIL 2025.

I'm back from a week or so in the US for work. This is now in the diary and I'm more hopeful that I won't miss it!

Thanks all for the photos. It looked like it was an amazing event this year.

BRING AND BUY

Evening all,

An update for those whose items sold in the Bring and Buy.

All being well, I'm hoping we can start contacting you over the coming weekend and make arrangements to send over the monies we owe you.

Stand by to stand by.

Rob.

Thanks for the video of Cropper Street. Old Parrock is one of my favourite layouts on the current exhibition circuit. It wa great to see it at SWAG.

A bit late, but better than never. Here's my video from the weekends event. Cracking show as ever, welldone to all involved.

28th April 2024 saw the RMweb South West Area Group (SWAG) host their annual members day held at Staplegrove Village Hall, Taunton, Somerset.
The show featured no less than 10 visiting layouts and dioramas in a variety of gauges and scales, as well as the famous 'bring & buy' stand, plus a good selection of other traders and demonstration stands .
Layouts as featured;
OLD PARROCK - 4mm
CROPPER STREET SIDINGS - OO
PAYNESTOWN - N
ST.OSWALDS - 0-16.5
KYLE OF LOCHALSH - 2mm Finescale
RUYTON ROAD - P4
MIDDLETON TOP - 4mm
OSNEY TOWN - 7mm
UPBECH ST. MARY - 4mm
LYDBROOK DEAN - 4mm
Hope you enjoy!

Great video, well done.

I like the way you start each layout with an aerial overall view,

then get down to line-side level for the more detailed shots,

and the way you leave the camera focused on something

as a train goes out of view rather than trying to follow it.

Oh p** it’s a work weekend once more and the daft policy of not confirming Sundays off until the Thursday before means impossible to plan for!

Many thanks Callum - think that’s some of the best close up footage I have ever seen of my micro and thankfully no derailments, unexpected uncoupling or lack of operator concentration captured…unless you edited those bits 😉

Callum is normally the Angel of Death when he points his camera at my layouts.........and yes, he's indeed a very good editor.

Sadly nope. I'd have trained, but not got the strength to deal with that hassle at the moment.

Say hi to Steve Pearce on Grantham; he's my Duckminder!

Have a good day matey.

Thank you for sharing those great photos of Old Parrock, Jamie, they're really excellent, and I really appreciate your kind comments too.

Exhibiting the layout over the last eighteen months has been hugely enjoyable for our small team and also informative. I've been adding to the freight stock but it's now time to think about a second passenger train which I'll start building this autumn. Obviously it'll be short!
