At privertisation rail track was regionalised which explains the NSE signage on the station

At privertisation a new company, NEtwork South East Railways succeeded in bidding for the franchise and elected to keep the livery and signage, saving costs which is what swung the bid?

I like the idea of Network Southeast Railways (NSEr) becoming a TOC at privitization and winning a franchise and keeping all the branding from NSE as a cost saving measure, will work that into my history. Now as to why this is an issue; thanks to Scalescenes some NSE branding has started to appear at Gloucester Road, and the rebuild of the TMD will also be NSEr.

So the station formerly known "country station" has now been christened Crossland after the street my Grandparents lived on. It has also been branded by my NSEr TOC. Signs are from Scalescenes and billboards from Model Railway Scenery.

While away at work two of my preorder items from a location in Liverpool arrived, quite to my surprise. These little gems from Oxford Diecast, 2 Ford transit vans in Network Rail branding. I think they look very good.

Demolition crew showed up today, add took down the old shed. They did a neat job too:-) (in reality it was put on a shelf with some other kits)

Test fitting of the new shed commenced; its going to be longer and look a bit more imposing in brick.

After demoing the original shed, construction started on the new shed complex. Using a very new and inovative construction technique one wall was completed before any other portion was put up. Here‘s hopping there are no strong winds before some sort of supporting construction takes place.

Also NSEr branding continued with the arrival of seats, and departure monitors in NSE colours. Ticket machines and vending machines arrived to provide tickets and nourishment for folks travelling to/from Gloucester Road and Crossland all courtesy of Wooden railways on ebay.

For a new building it's been tagged really quickly. I'd be having a word with site security about that!  :jester:

Finished off the other wall today and added some interior details, these will be visible through one end and the windows. Looking at the last picture i need to back and touch up some of the edges with felt tip pen. Though at normal viewing guess it wont make much difference. End walls hopefully tomorrow.

Roof, end walls and guttering went up today. Roof still needs the vents added, hence the writting and only one end wall is completely done. Stop signs are probably redundant, however when the shed was taken over by NSEr there were extra roads on this end of the shed too. As a cost saving measure the tracks were shortened and the buffers installed.

Oh yes, very nice too; just wish my craft skills ran to this kind of construction...

For me, I would probably drop some muck on the roof as it looks a tad clean for where it is, but that's just my preference!

Looking good...

Its a shame that the platforms are so basic but its good to see the Great Hall is well kept. Spent a few hours there last Christmas eve awaiting for the late running South West Chief.

And yes some good places for beer. We visited Gordon Birsch brewing and Flying Saucer in downtown. Was hoping to make the bar where you took the photos but never got there.

Had some extra time at home today before leaving for a week of flying. Assembly of the 20ft containers was completed today with the last six being done in assembly line fashion.
