One I can't embed. A Class 76 (green E26017) with 4 x NCB wagons and then loaded BR 16T's. Would the first 4 have been on delivery to NCB somewhere for internal use? The caption says thy're ex NCB but they seem very clean.

Not 'ex-NCB'; 'ex-works NCB'. They'd be coming from one of the NCB's Central Workshops, or perhaps a private wagon repairer, having been refettled for another 20 years service.

These NCB wagons have probably been fettled up at Standard Railway Wagon's works at Reddish and are on their way to a Yorkshire Area Colliery; judging by the livery! SRW were hiring wagons to Collieries and Steelworks for internal use!

Cracking picture of British Aluminum, Burtisland. I was there, I think at the end of the 80s, fitting new plant and machinery in the building on the left, the yard was in a state of demolition with the track being ripped up. I had a look at the chairs and they were nearly all North British Railway. One day I wasn't there due to waiting on parts I was told a big steam engine went past called Union of Africa, (sic).

Memories.
