Nice pic Pete, any idea of the date? I've found a few pics of it on the stabling point at Exeter as well as DVD footage, with a heavy coat of 'weathering' that I'll be using for inspiration to dirty Ramilies up soon.

Hi Ian,

Some very nice pic to work from, I might have a better look at that website when I get the chance. Date of pic is 15.3.90. The last time I saw 019 later in 1990 it was well dirty.

Cheers Peter.

Morning all

Last night during "reality TV time" I retreated to the sanctuary of the loft and Ramilies made her debut on Exford Park in a newly weathered guise and I recorded the event for posterity!

50019 creeps towards a red light at Exford Park station with a short rake of (Ahem...ex-works) empties for Riverside Yard.

After getting a yellow Ramilies ambles along the relief line past the signal centre and you can see more of my weathering attempt!

I aim to spend some time in the loft today as I have a points failure at a critical point and I have a mini rmweb playday here on Friday so need to get it sorted as I'm away until Thursday evening, so there may be more pics later.

Evening all

The errant point has been replaced and the track made good, plus two or three sticky point motors were sorted and a few locos lubricated so all should be good for the visitors on Friday. I couldn't help taking some more pics of my latest creations whilst in the loft so bear with me and I promise no more for a while!

After depositing the earlier train in Riverside Yard 50019 (No 1 end) is now pictured on the fuel point.

A wider view of '19 on the fuel road.

Ramilies (No 2 end). Sorry for the overkill I liked all three pics and couldn't decided on which to leave out!

Further up the yard fellow DCWA machine 50036 is seen between duties.

50019 is now joined by 47706 for fuelling ready for the running day on Friday.

That's it no more Ramilies pics until at least Friday, I'm off to Ireland in the morning.

You can never provide us with too many photo's! (famous last words)

Personally, i have a soft spot for shots of services coming off the branch and across the crossovers onto the mainline ;) What are the chances of an up-to-date version of this classic from Page 1? Love it!

Been following this topic from the start, and I must say it really is fantastic. Such a diverse range of stock and just looks "right".Also, it's now making me reconsider whether to get give Heljan 47s another chance...

Thank you sir for your kind comments and your continued interest in my ramblings. Although diverse its just as it was around 1990, I just model my memories from that time, so I'm glad it looks 'right'!

Give the Heljans a chance apart from 'head-on' they look right to me and you can't fault the running qualities.

Thought I'd get in early before everyone arrived and Scott created gridlock by putting all my stock on the depot as usual!

A now renumbered to 37092 recreates the early days. (Must get better lighting!)
