EBay madness

They can't be that rare seeing the quantity on offer (the 94xx certainly isn't!).   :)

Seriously I hope so, as I have a few Lima South African items (including a SAR 4F (really!) and a container flat wagon missing from this lot). There is a rather serious gauge problem of over a scale foot....

EDIT

I didn't realise the 94xx was lattered SAS (and presumably SAR of the other side). There can't be many of these! - as well as the gauge, issue they are a different scale....

Not mad but just curious...what is it?...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302169721815?ul_noapp=true

I think it's supposed to be a Dean goods (?). Seeing it's built on an S-R mechanism it was probably built over fifty years ago, when information was scarce compared to today. Of historical interest, but I am almost certain it has nothing to do with either Brassmasters or K's.

The eBay suggestions came up with a lot of better ways of spending £50 (IMHO).

It's attracting bids, now that is ebay madness.

Mike.

Indeed, and even selling with 'private bidders' . One wonders why this option for sellers is offered when bidders are only identified as X**Y which seems not to relate to anything. Not my selling moniker anyway.

Maybe the seller doesn't want to allow clues as to who the shill bidders might be?

Way above what I thought they were to be sold for:

I think a few turned up with the B12s, ahead of the majority of production, so going for the Xmas must-have market?

And to think I could have had one for much less ex stock at Pooleys Puffers today!

It's just a box!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-DUBLO-3RAIL-EDL-17-0-6-2-N2-TANK-BOX-PACKING-PARTS-EXCELLENT-/371818093181?hash=item569215da7d:g:ZlUAAOSwLF1X8YfJ

and it's for the commonest 69567 'cycling lion' variant too, which probably would have problems selling for that amount....

To be fair to the shop I got one direct from them far cheaper. I also think it is common for stores to list things at a higher price on ebay due to the ebay and Paypal fees. For example the Hornby Tts sound Virgin Hst pack is £160 on the Rails of Sheffield website but £175 from Rails of Sheffield on ebay Edited by Ryde-on-time

He also has a 29-inch TV for £47k.  One does wonder what his business model is all about .....

Sorry, I meant was the price, not the models, realistic - asked firmly with tongue in cheek :)

Possibly this might be 'worth' the asking price, if it hadn't been trodden on! (Usually they cost somewhat less!)

It was obviously too tender ........

Sorry....sorry....so very sorry. I must get serious before it's too late...then again

Sides and rear show some play wear

Understatement of the year?
