RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted November 24, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 24, 2011 Price is fine, but this adds a new dimension to the old standby "spares or repair"! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kitmaster-0-6-0-Shunter-Spares-Repair-/180762103402?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item2a1642ce6a
cromptonnut
Ah but it's our old friend Mr Micmcn (of Cartmel) who has had, at the last count, this http://www.ebay.co.u...=item45fd68d591 thing for sale 3 to 4 years now! As I have previously posted that I put one up at the same time as him and got around £1.50 for it, and the buyer wasn't even happy with his purchase so I gave him his money back, which in a perverse way gave me some satisfaction! "PART OF A SMALL COLLECTION AVAILABLE OF BLANK BODY SHELLS THAT WERE REMOVED FROM THE FACTORY WHEN IT CLOSED BY A VERY ANGRY CHIEF DRAFTSMAN !!!!!" Is that an interesting way of saying "removed without permission", and potentially the seller is guilty of 'handling stolen goods'?
D605Eagle
Now this is what I call a PROPPER mark up! Sold at the vectis auction on the 5th of November for £580 which with fees works out at £719.20 if i've got me maths right. Now look at it! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370557765330 Good 'ole Gostude!

Is that an interesting way of saying "removed without permission", and potentially the seller is guilty of 'handling stolen goods'? I think it might be a year or two ago. Quite hard for the owner to be traced, I suspect. Probably pushing them up for some years. And it may well have been in lieu of wages owed etc. Not right, but angry employees have been known to do worse.

cromptonnut
Here's an interesting one, quite apart from the unusual format. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Different-Heljan-Locomotives-75-00-Each-New-/150691781902?_trksid=p4340.m1374&_trkparms=algo%3DPI.WATCH%26its%3DC%252BS%26itu%3DUCC%26otn%3D5%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D4425948088770393783 Listing contains Heljan locomotives Class 50 58001 in Railfreight red stripe, and a Class 54 "Western Nobleman" in blue. I wasn't aware Heljan had made a Class 50 (or there were any Railfreight red stripe ones) and didn't know a Class 54 existed.

I wasn't aware Heljan had made a Class 50 (or there were any Railfreight red stripe ones) and didn't know a Class 54 existed. He actually lised all 5 as one job lot for £400 at least twice (maybe thrice) saying he would not split (shown earlier on this thread)..... Unsurprisingly no one buyer is interested in this collection so he's now split them......

davefrk
Yeah, these new-fangled TOPS codes confuse the heck out of me, too. Aye, and from the look of the box tray it's soaking in oil, the words ''bargepole and don't touch'' come to mind. Probably WD 40 or 3 in 1 used and we all know what they do to plastic. Dave Franks. RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted November 25, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2011 Item Number 320796997675 Wonder what the "noise of a realistic sound is" Especially as DMUs in my experience tend to make quite a lot of noise immediately prior to moving off, which this one probably doesn't! 'CHARD
Well blow me down, I've thought wrongly all these years!.. class 20 http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4ab11b68f3 "LIMA Class 20 5173 BR D6755 Diesel Loco OO gauge Livery." I can't decide what are nouns and what adjectives in this whacko description. As for livery, does this mean it has one, or it's actually in 'OO gauge livery,' which sounds interesting. Everything is wrong here. Darwin contender.

RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted November 25, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 25, 2011 A "rare" monstrocity that I do hope is in fact unique!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Hornby-R2519-Weathered-Class-59-59005-Foster-Yeoman-Kenneth-J-Painter-Boxed-/380389054675?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item5890f458d3 That has to be one of the worst and most inappropriate weathering jobs I have seen in years. Even Hornby's infamous weathered Transrail 37 was marginally better than this!!
