Ragtag
There are some which are a bit misleading - eg the earlier Judge Judy reference - but those pullman boxes are clearly identified both in the title and description.
RMweb Premium Trainshed Terry Posted August 9, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 9, 2010 And there in lies the problem, most bidders only look at the image and see 5 new boxes that they think they contain 5 new coaches, and do not bother to read the description of the item listed. Ragtag
most bidders only look at the image and see 5 new boxes that they think they contain 5 new coaches, and do not bother to read the description of the item listed While it may sound harsh, that is entirely the buyer's problem. I'm completely against misleading sales, but for an item like those pullman boxes where it's clearly stated multiple times, the seller can't be held at fault in my opinion. This one has even had its couplings removed, yet there are 15 bids! (Incidentally, the painting on all of them seems pretty crude!) JE

'CHARD
We have been discussing seller gostude and his pricey old Triang over on another thread. Collectors! One wonders how the description "new" * equates with "appears complete" and "shelf warn box" (sic). * eBay definition: "New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item". I was watching a £39.50 Tri-ang Sleeper from that seller for a while. Ludicrous. But not so bizarre as this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TRIANG-Hornby-R426-DMU-PULLMAN-CAR-TYPE-6-PERFECT-BOXED-/370316769466?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item56389978ba#ht_2316wt_911 He possibly can't see his keyboard for froth, or is it all the £-signs rolling round his eye balls like a cartoon fruit machine! One for the BP thread I suspect.

Guest baldrick25
Look down his feedback, and its staggering how much of the trade is 'abroad', particularly the negatives! I note he never replies to any negative feedback , just takes the cash and runs- never an offer of a refund..MMmmmm.. On the subject of his B......P...... Coach , I can't see its the 'rare' coach number at all . Just tap it into Google to see as many of each coach have been sold in the past, many for £15 ish.
