Very nice so are you flogging the Jubilee for £400 on the bay then  :jester:

Nah - saves me buying one for £400 though!

Mick

you are a real smarty pants.........major saving in price......and the satisfaction of having done it yourself.......smug buzzard..........looks gorgeous......

just a flat colour and transfers? .............mmmmmmmm      very interesting......

Alclad 101 silver for the main body and Precision decals. The decals were a bit of a b*gger to apply over the ribs, but working from the central rib outwards, making sure I kept the transfer reasonably wet and mobile, I could gently press it into each rib, making sure I kept the previous rib in place, holding it down with a brush.

Cheers,

Mick

Very nice, turns out 60066 was a publicity stunt for the first run. It will likely never be used on the biomas again as the 60s are not fitted with the equiptment to open the doors on the wagons! As DB couldn't be bothered to paint a 66 they did a 60 instead!

So what is it that 66's have, that 60's haven't for opening the doors?

Cheers,

Mick

And as if by some form of magical coincidence, the real 60066 passed by my back door about an hour ago! If I'd looked at the local gen lists, I'd have known it was coming and had camera ready.......

Cheers,

Mick

Love your wording Jaz, words I said in my head/replaced with other word that also matched..... smug b.... (in a good way as always)

but yes I agree totally, those class 67s I have seen 5 on TBay go, $468 the first one and the last one was £268 so slowly coming done so cash in while you can, wish I could re-spray like you mate, must be great running all your own liveries that you can not buy because they have not been produced yet.

I'm not jealous.... ha-ha

Good on ya mate.

I thinks its an electrical connection / computer.

I'm not sure but I was told this by a DB driver

Think the compressors on 066 weren't man enough to blow up 25 wagons….

The wagons aren't opened by the loco…in theory anything "could" haul them

Hi main problem for 60 will be coupling up, as a lot of HTA wagons are buckeye. On the Fiiddlers ferry circuit the 60s hauled Nat power HHAs as these rakes had outers with buffers. Latterly some HTA got buffers to allow 60s to continue their good work.

Great "fun" watching the poor antics at Drax with HTA over HAA , with the HTA being manual release over the dalek controlled HAA the opo had to "run" backwards and forwards supervsing three wagons at a time with unlocking, unloading, relocking doors - air controlled from levers on each wagon, at time had to dance round daleks as these still fitted in shed.

Called progress, love the model 60, hopefully decals will print down to N.

The specialist Drax biomass hoppers are buffer fitted.

Unless they don't want a 60 hanging around amongst the HTA rakes used for biomass?

Cheers,

Mick
