Maybe? 'Google says no'? It does hint that 73129 City of Winchester in NSE was a Kernow limited edition, but all of these were cancelled?

All of the items commissioned by Kernow MRC through Dapol were cancelled however Dapol has subsequently listed some of them as catalogue items for its future releases.

As mentioned there isnt an NSE livery version mentioned in the list however has everyone forgotten the 2 different light blue 73/0s and the Mersey rail 73/9s and the later EW&S, Railtrack and Network rail liveries

Assuming this is going to be ONE HELL OF A MODEL... and judging by the pre-production pics, it is... the opportunity is there for some nice future limited editions. I don't see the Merseyrail livery having universal appeal, but it sure would make a nice "one-off".

I do hope it is true though, the photograpghs I've seen look terrific and I think this will do an awful lot to lift Dapol up after a rather lacklustre couple of years. I'm very excited about this particular new item.

I've just had an email from Hattons saying early June. I'll believe it when I see it!

I had a call from Rails saying the same thing - seems like all the retailers are expecting them soon :-D

Question about Cl.73, 74 and 33/1: the buffers are retracted when coupled to SR EMUs, and extended when coupled to other stock. What about the central buffing plate (or whatever it's properly called) - does that extend/retract as well?

Simple answer, no.

Whilst i'm looking forward to this model i'm slightly disappointed by the choice of numbers for the large logo (73105) and original Intercity (73102) models.

73105 ended up in Intercity livery fairly early on and 73102 was renumbered 73212 for Gatwick services. For me, a loco such as 73134 would have made have been a better choice as this carried I/C livery for far longer.  Here is a shot of a well weathered version of it last year!

(Yes I know I could renumber it - but would rather not!)

I imagine if Dapol had done 73102 as 212 representing a Gatex loco that may have limited appeal and then reduce income, as 102 the loco pretty much went anywhere on the SR, once in the Gatwick pool the engines rarely strayed that far. Wise move I think. I also seem to recall that 105 was one of the last into Intercity - named Quadrant at the same time. ISTR seeing 104/5 & 141 in large logo on the Bournemouth line as late as 88 when most where in Intercity livery.

I hadn't realised that E6003 was going to be released in SR Green.

I have already got the OT 3x on order as well as E6047 so I cannot afford any more. As I have already paid for the OT trio, I am willing to swap GBRF 73205 & First GBRF 73141 with some if possible please? I will swap one of the remaining two for 73138 in Civil Engineers livery please.

Olivia Trains have said they have yet to sign off there painted samples. There website has been changed from a May release date to July release, if this does not slip to coincide with the Warley Model Show later in the year.

There are some artworks on Olivias site - I am not sure whether they are in production as planned in May for a June/July delivery, but the information on the Dapol site does correspond with Olivias

Colours seem pretty much spot on, I am looking rather forward to the arrival of the 73s!
