Very happy to be so befriended, I have always found these dogs and handlers to be delightful company, as their training is based on fun "find and fetch" games. Friendly, playful, well disciplined, what's not to like? Effective, too. Delightful to watch in action, identifying carriers of substances many of which are known to destroy the lives of the takers and the victims of the behaviour of those partaking in the illegal consumption. The boss of the firm that left a fake bomb at Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium has apologised for making a "devastating mistake". Chris Reid of Security Search Management & Solutions Ltd (SSMS) said he wrongly logged the item as found on Wednesday. The bomb scare led to the postponement of Sunday's match against Bournemouth. The club said the device could not have been detected by sniffer dogs because it did not contain explosives.
