RMweb Premium Barry O Posted March 15, 2016 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) In between a big batch of 20 odd ICI tankers I have been tinkering with something a bit more modern... the first of 42 TTAs to be rewheeled in EM, couplings added and then dirtied.... staining on the side using powders "washed off" using the ink mix and a ladies make up stick the other side and the non ladder end all of these are standard Bachmann wagons. so only another 41 to go. RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted October 25, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 25, 2016 Brand new tarp... never used before.. it looks a bit darker in the flesh... so to speak... It's a sheet - not a 'tarp' (on the railway a tarpaulin was something you wore in wet weather when doing outdoor work, especially shunting). A sheet was something you put over a wagon to keep the wet out. Hence there were places called sheet works where they made and refurbished sheets and whoever heard of 'Tarpaulin Stores Junction'?
