YES it's No!, Happy Jock!

Mike, to save me writing it out again, I've posted a health bulletin in the Lounge and ERs. Off to try to kip now!

Kind regards,

Jock.

Hi Jock,

Its 'Yes' we are all Brit's and that pontificating bullyboy has spat his dummy out, what a leader he would have made.

Hi Mike

More great photos -posts 1316-18

I especially like the Peak on the mail train and the Class 25 from the unusual angle through the arch of the station overbridge

Regards

Alan

Hi Alan,

Thanks for that, I am trying to gain different viewpoints whilst experiencing an 'arty' moment, a very rare phenomenon I must admit.

Mike

I've done it at last.

You were up to page 52 when I started reading through this thread - I'm not a fast reader! It soon went to 53 pages and I've been pacing myself against that number for several days only to find this morning that you'd filled another but I've finally made it so will be watching more routinely henceforth.

I have to say that it has been a brilliant story and thread - the layout's not bad either.

Thanks.

Morning Mike good shots of dent. I was talking to a mobile opps manager the other day and hes was saying the signal wires went on the embankment. the only one what went on the cess was the peg at the end of the station. Hope this helps

Hi Mark,

Many thanks for that, all I can say is that it was a very untidy looking set-up and I have to copy it and worse still answer all kinds of awkward questions forthcoming!

Keep looking in for a little thank you of an unusual variety!

Mike just to let you know that Will used to live in Derbyshire until last year, now he's a Pasty eating foreigner in Cornwall, hahhaha.

He's also very knowledgeable and has his layout at Warley this year.

Hi all,

As promised here are a few 'unusual' shots to illustrate again the lengthy timeline an S&C based layout can enjoy...

Class 45 45055 'Royal Corps of Transport' heads a Nottingham-Glasgow express over the viaduct.

Swinging the camera around finds the express about to pass a Class 40 sat in the 'Up' refuge siding.

Geezz that Ballast Train is a bit slack. It's missed a whole section bit next to it on both lines!  :nono:

No but seriously It's looking great so far! :)

Hi Sharkey,

Its the modern world for you, would not have happened back in the 50's!

Real reason is; fettling work is still required especially on the crossing area and I'm checking on any expansion warping etc.

To finish the day off here are a few more bits I have been doing...

I know I said the station building was a winter project but I got tired of seeing the structure skeleton in all the photos so I have made a start on it a bit early...

post-5296-0-09911000-1411322433.jpg

Started by applying some valley detail in the form of grey printed adhesive paper.

Next some 0.020" plasticard is cut to shape and glued down to the roof slopes. Only reason for white and black is I ran out of black!

You can see the edges touched up with some Matt Black paint prior to slates being fitted.

It looks better already! However I realised I had no roof for the annex building...

Sorry guys,

The index is in a spreadsheet form and will not print out correctly. If I simply copy and paste all the text just follows each other and ends up as gobbledegook!

Mike,

Your Excel file needed the D column extending to cover the longest length of text.

Then save your Excel file as normal, and also save your file as Text(Tab Deliminated) (*.txt).  You will then have two files saved, index.xlsx and index.txt

Open the index.txt file and you can then copy and paste the info into your replies here on the forum, like I have done below.

I have re-attached the files here for you to download.
