Castle class 5011 'Tintagel Castle' is seen on an up express from Millbay Docks to Paddington in the South Hams sunshine.

Princes Park Station, built as part of the pre-war Piccadilly Line extension program, shows signs of neglect in this 1951 view.

 

STL 2093 is o en-route to Ealing, whilst B5 waits for potential travelers to Brentford.

A GWR tank 2-8-2T 7200 trundles through Brent with a Plymouth bound oil train.4540 waits in the bay platform.

While trawling through the external hard drive looking for an image that I couldn't find (nothing to do with railways) I came across loads of pics of Clinkerford that I don't think have been published previously. Here are a couple of views not normally scene by the public.

 

First, the loading dock where a couple of coal wagons are waiting to be unloaded.

 

 

On a day when the goods yard seems remarkably devoid of wagons and vans, a Dean goods leaves for Hereford. Passenger numbers must be down, as two coaches have been deemed adequate today.

The last one does it for me. Never mind that there is no backscene, the flow of the handbuilt track, the mixed stock train, the loco tender first, the spread of the yard tracks, and that delightful muddy twin cart/tractor track on the left behind the fence, there is no 'Stunning' button
