RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted February 17, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 17, 2015 I wonder if the Royal Loft still exists? Maybe it still houses the Royal Train Set...!
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted February 17, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 17, 2015 Is that in or out of the jail? I couldn't possibly give away such sensitive, local strategic information.

RMweb Gold Mikkel Posted February 18, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 18, 2015 Interesting to note that a quote from Hansard is listed by a Dane! Also that the arcane workings of our Parliament only allowed 10 minutes for this proposal to be presented. No account seems to have been payed to the needs of Her Majesty's racing pigeons, (She would not be expected/allowed to comment anyway!), but I don't suppose that she took them Herself to the local pub to be ringed and dispatched. I wonder if the Royal Loft still exists? The Queen keeps racing pigeons? I can see a really interesting modelling challenge there! Rob, how about a royal carriage next to your pigeon van? Hansard came up in a Google search. I was interested to see that "hear hear" actually gets recorded.

RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted February 18, 2015 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted February 18, 2015 Or how about Robin painting his pigeon van in the Royal purple lake livery?! Having seen the work with teak livery by the likes of Goddard, Geary and Trice that might be a good idea rather than shew myself up.

brianusa
Robin, That last comment could have been worded better! I sometimes wonder if Jenny realises her good name is being bandied around here. Its good to see a railway photo back again to keep this topic on track! Brian. RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted February 19, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 19, 2015 Ah, the haven for sensible discussion that is ANTB. I've almost given up on two other threads as they keep going on about macs and lens type things and shopping. Driving me crazy that is. I'm off to study Toplights. RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted February 19, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 19, 2015 Looks odd with that top water feed from the cab, the spot light on top of the smokebox and the diesel extension to the bunker.

RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted February 19, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 19, 2015 (edited) I rather like the automatic self-watering arrangements - ensures that water troughs will never be required...! Edit - looks a bit out of gauge, though... Edited February 19, 2015 by Captain Kernow

AFAIK even the Broad Gauge didn't extend that far upwards.
