Do you mean:

i) that you haven't had a lie-in for over 30 years

or

ii) that you haven't been down the pub for over 30 years

or

iii) that you haven't had a lie-in and then gone down the pub for over 30 years

or

iv) that you haven't been down the pub and then had a lie-in for over 30 years

or

v) that you have been down the pub, but it was for a shorter time than 30 years

or

vi) that you have had a lie-in, but that the lie-in didn't last as long as 30 years

or

vii) none of the above

or

viii) all of the above

or

ix) you can't remember

I do think that it's important to maintain clarity at all times.

No, you should believe some of the things you read on line.

Reminds me of the guide on a harbour cruise not far from here whose spiel started "95% of what I'm going to tell you today is true".

Didn't that get transferred to the Western Region.

Yup, but they only did that so that they had another route to take when their lines, fell to pieces every time it rained or it got too hot, broke, went all wibbly due to Dawlish, got stolen by arse bandits and abducted by P4 Alien Track Gangs and when Box Tunnel was too dark.

I walked the trackbed of this line over the bank Holiday. It is surprising how much of the works remains are still to be seen.

Well done Mike; that scenic finish is shite though. Was it Finescale by any chance? The loco is also made of plastic so isn't a real one. I think it is a Dave Thingamyjig effort.

Hope your feet have recovered?

Don't think they warflats would have come to Devonport,  it's a warship maintenance and repair facility, not a general cargo facility.  When the Royal Marines go away on holiday they usually go from Millbay that have the facilities for that. Only during the Falklands conflict did stuff come in by rail and we had to put the ships in dry dock to allow the loading of said stuff.  It was also useful for modifying the ships for their roll in the conflict.
