Rob, have you got anything bigger than a 4-6-0??  :jester:

Just to humour him, how about a double header with the 43xxs?

Or have we already had that? Couldn't find any when I searched.

According to Adrian Vaughan in GW signalling it would be G Headlamps; which is one lamp in the centre of the buffer beam: Bell code 2 3

I've go a movement on my layout 3 small prairies from Newton Abbot to Whitcombe Barton coach sidings details to follow.

Head lamps code group 8 for light engines      x

                                                                     x  o o

81C

Centre and Right would be H headlamps, which Adrian says is for Freight, mineral, or ballast train or train of empties carrying through load to destination (bell code 3 4 1)

Mikkel. If you want a 43xx fix albeit in BR black take a look at Barry Tens blog here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/blog/257/entry-11669-nearing-the-finish-line-toplights-and-bow-end-stock/

Bloody marvellous modelling.

Pish to all these positioning moves and their like, these are not the right tactics for successfully removing a "Southern" bull from a GWR china shop - you have to take the bull firmly by the horns and teach it the error of it's ways.

You have as much chance of seeing an Eastern engine on here as I have of seeing a Castle on Gilberts 'Peterborough North'. ;) but if my 3864 comes back from overhaul in Margate this week, you'll definitely see that.On a freight..

If you would like to run a Pacific you could always borrow  my ' preserved ' Great Bear .    :sungum:

Can't find a GWR lamp list at the moment only the BR one, ding ding ding.

81C

Doh!  just remembered one in the wagon bible vol'1

I have reason to believe that a well known member of this parish will be bringing one to website not too far away (no, not this one - and no it isn't me but I am casting an eye over the headcodes for him before he puts them up and they are in a very well presented style which is very clearly explained and includes the relevant bell signals for the quoted date).  Hopefully they will appear before too long although I understand there are other things currently taking priority so we just need to be patient.

Following several requests, well this one, here's a double header with mogul action returning to Hackney Yard with a mixed freight including quite a few empties. This view is handy as I'm going to upgrade the scenics here after visiting the Green Scene stand at Railex.

Some great shots and 'Baydon's' looking good on those Devon banks ;)

Thanks Mark but the Manor is so yesterday today.I'm hoping to get 3864 back soon for pulling a proper length train.

I've decided I need a signature that all photographers have when you know its a shot of theirs. So I've took another rear view again complete with tail lamp in situ.

Thanks very much for those mogul double header shots, Rob! This prompted me to look for prototype photos of such a feature, but haven't found any yet. It would have been quite a sight though.

Does that mean my signalling bible is wrong Mike? - I swear by that book!

No problem Mikkel.A few more as they round the curve on their way...

Blimey Robin, those moguls are working hard tonight! - Great photos as ever.
