balders
The 68 looks very smart.......saw it in Marylebone yesterday and noted that it now sports name plates, but masked up. Any one any ideas? Had a quick look online but it threw nothing up. Regards Guy
Steadfast
@baldersTwo 68s to be named after staff who died during the pandemic apparently. Should've been named on storm Friday, but the for obvious reasons, the ceremony didn't happen. Jo 3 2

RMweb Gold Popular Post big jim Posted February 28, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted February 28, 2022 Some from yesterday, in the way in to work I had a bike ride along the old trackbed form Newport to Stafford and back on the non electric bike, 20 mile round trip Newport Gnosall Crossing house I then drove off to bescot but as I was passing where I was picking my train up from I went and had a reccie to see where it was to be sure the taxi went to the right place! albrighton as it happened my train was in cosford top and tail with 66744 and 66979 again! Then disaster struck, there was a power it in Bescot so we couldn’t leave site as they couldn’t accept us as the place was in total darkness so we ended up sitting in the worksite until they could get us in, need up walking forward to Albrighton again as my and my trainee ordered a pizza to the station! The train in front of us was in the platform, there was also one in front of that too Then we rolled in to wait Should have got back to bescot around 23:15, finally rolled in just after 03:00, luckily todays job looks like it’s cancelled so I don’t have to worry about it running late after rest 22
RMweb Premium jamie92208 Posted February 28, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 28, 2022 (edited) That is spooky. I'm currently staying in Gnosall and wondered which line I crossed when driving to Newport and Stafford today. I even managed half an hour on the station and this came through. I waved and got a wave back. I wondered if you were on it. Sorry about the photo. I forgot my camera and only had my phone. 66716 doing the honours.
