RMweb Gold PhilH Posted October 12, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 12, 2015 Here are some Ground Level videos. From Andy Howard, I was up there last night, but my videos, are not as good as Andys' Click the links to watch, they are on a Facebook page. Sorry cant get the screen. 1. Britannia Arrives @ Dover Priory 2. Night time departure of Britannia, from Dover Priory. 3. Vuclan Bomber fly past, Dover yesterday. Thanks for looking. Shame you weren't there last night for the right way round departure of the return trip back to Victoria. The added bonus would have been the sight of a very handsome chap on the footplate.... We had a good run, there is really something that stirs the soul when on the footplate of an engine such as 70000 at 75mph, especially at night when there is not the distraction of scenery. It really is an assault on the senses, and probably the most addictive drug ever.

I reckon the last time I saw 7000 so bulled up was as a Boy Scout visiting the Festival of Britain Transport pavillion. dhig

David Todd
Thank you for posting, funny or otherwise. Here some of the module for the DP Gully. My feeble attempt, of what is not in the actual gully. Not all are glued in place yet,I think they need to be more swept back, towards the topping that looks a bit too formal. There is a fox and 3.rabbits, in there too. Guess who, forgot, to paint the tree trunks, before, gluing and flocking. This last photo, was taken by "RunsasRequired" from an aircraft, on his way to an Autumnal holiday. Train and Warley tickets, booked this morning, despite not liking the hall,it's the people I meet, counter's the negative bit.

David Todd
Well, yesterday and today, comprises of digging out, all running stock available, collected over A 5. Year period. Sort them into trays, test,to see which are dc or dcc/sound or not working at all, also have some kind of system/order. I may well put some up on Buy/Sell,RWeb. Only if I can, find the key, that unlocks the Feedback facility for both Buyer &Seller. Spent over an hour, both on the laptop and iPad last night, on trying to leave Feedback on an item I had purchased, from a Private Seller,ie, member. Am not knocking the website overall it works fine for me. Sorting stock,Dover Town Yard. A busy/untidy workbench.

David Todd
So, while testing/repairing/re addressing/sorting stock. Could not help myself, taking a few webcam pics, of the 4-Cep and MLv, in blue/grey livery. An 8 car Cep set, rolls into Platform 2 Dover Priory, the rear, overhangs the platform by 2 coaches. David Todd
Today, had a mail from AndyH, saying 20s were due in 1225..hrs. I got there 1205, but had gone through 10. earlier. Hmm, decided to wait it out, see what time the return was. I have waited a year, since they came south for a test run. 3 times in that year, they were no shows, or ahead of time booked. Today, was well worth the wait, turnaround time, less than 4 minutes.. http://youtu.be/bo79gmqYLTs
jcredfer
I couldn't help but notice that my Internet connection is still operative ..... which is very fortunate, in view of that video ..... Today, had a mail from AndyH, saying 20s were due in 1225..hrs. I got there 1205, but had gone through 10. earlier. Hmm, decided to wait it out, see what time the return was. That Tanker which was spilling water, because of being over-filled, is a big risk and you need to be very careful when you are driving your 20s ..... a spill from the Tanker in the wrong spot, going round the curve in the Tunnel could short-circuit your Leckie Metre Meter. ....... PS. Thanks for sending the Red Cross Parcel. I'm not too worried if they are a bit late ..... ..... I ... can always ........................... p .. p .. pick-up a Penguin ..... lmsforever
I saw a unit in the new Southern livery on the Deal webcam and I thought uck!!!!!!!!!!!!! and now seeing it your excellent photos it is confirmed who ever thought that was a worthwhile livery? tjf4375
Quite liking the new livery, although SE have to be the most indecisive TOC ever when it comes to liveries - there must be at least a dozen variations of their livery in circulation at the moment. I wish they would just decide on a colour scheme and stick with it!
