This afternoon I finally started to do something unspeakable to my Hattons 14XX. It had been asking for it for a long time.

Mr South-Wales Sheep will be interested in this.

Creme de Menthe.

Mon Capitaine Kernow est aux prises avec un dîner de chiens mécaniques. Il est un héros de la république.

C'est bonne, mange tout!!

As promised.

I'm not looking forward to doing the handrails as they go around the front, over the SB Door. Also the lamp irons are quite distinctive and although I have some etched ones from Mainly Trains, fitting them to the SB Door is going to be fun.

Hey ho.

Phil

Yey - way to go Duckie!

Remind me, what obscure LNER J-something-or-other class of loco is it?

Come to think of it, wot's it doing so far south-west at Seaton Junction?

And another thing what is a LNER J-something?

They have some very nice HSTs and Class 91s but no j-somethings. :locomotive: :locomotive: :locomotive: :locomotive:

Sadly, an urban myth alongside Master Bates and Seaman Staines.

The rumoured adult version of Rainbow was true, however.  It's on youtube somewhere.

Lord Too-Muchtimeonhishands.

And it's not the cabin boy from the Sex Pistols sea shanty either.  His name was "Flipper"

There were some great urban myths "pre-Google"   (Google is 20 years old this week - remember rubbish like "ask Jeeves".....?)

Google is 20 this week, my youngest is only 19 - so I've pointed out he is younger than Google - makes me depressed....

It was Tom the Cabin Boy IIRC? I did enjoy the intro music to that show..

Another of my fave bands. Brillo. Lovely organ. :scared:

Thanks your Docness. By the way, would you have a look at my spots as you are a Doc? I have washed them carefully.

Today I spent most of my time at my local Nature Reserve, just chilling and chatting and having a coffee every so often. Lovely day and so good looking birds to admire.

Came home about half three and dug out the proper job kit and got down to giving it a good old sorting out. I get some sort of strange satisfaction out of cleaning up white metal parts and then soldering them together.

I shall post some pics tomorrow, but then I shall be off again to have an afternoon with Don Powell preceded by Pie (GF) and peas (GF) and accompanied by No 1 Son.

SWMBO is away again so I don't have to clear up/wash up/ be polite or anything.
