I was going to model the depot in N gauge once, but time/space dictated otherwise... The higher level pic at Buxton shows some good details... She is starting to look a little like that on the Severn Valley these days - which I am all for. The green is a little matt, the roof is a little grimy and she just looks utterly authentic. In fact I would say she looks just as fabulous as she sounds, and I recommend a trip on the line behind her this December when she will be steaming. It is utter magic for anyone who has never had a ride with a diesel using steam to heat it's train. Edited June 21, 2023 by Covkid 4

Looks like a rake of MK1 Pullmans, but I didn't think that the MK1 Pullmans had brake coaches, and it doesn't look like at pre-BR Pullman brake. Could it be a MK1 brake painted up to match, or am I wrong about the coaches?

Probably Car 355 as that has been modelled by Bachmann in both 00 and N. Edited July 2, 2023 by 03060 Extra info added. 2

RMweb Gold 4630 Posted July 20, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 20, 2023 (edited) Always nice to see and hear a class 40 out on the mainline in 2023. On 20th July 2023, D345 with 20305 and 37059 for company working 0Z37, Castleton Hopwood Ground Frame (the East Lancashire Railway/Network Rail boundary) to Worksop Down Yard, approaches Deighton. eastwestdivide
A whistling in the distance as it coasted round the corner and then it opened up as it came through Rotherham earlier today, working from Butterley Midland Railway Centre to the East Lancs. D345 towing 40012, a steam escort coach and another badly graffitied coach.

Does anyone know what the pipe work hanging down from the body around the central tank is for? Some kind of drainage pipes perhaps? They appear on a lot of the ScR 40s.
