Been driving trains without me camera. Thank goodness I managed to crash a k3 into a train of cut and shut Tri-angs without the fixing screws in them. Looked like a train of Battlesapce exploding cars. All fixed now.

Hi Clive,

Were the disassociated parts numbered or colour coded ?

Gibbo.

For some reason, I'm reminded of one of those dodgy TV auction shopping channels they used to have on Freeview / Freesat - the ones where the presenters were on a few channels at once - but it was still, apparently, "absolutely live".

On one occasion, they were flogging some train sets - when the presenter helpfully pointed out that: "There's 2 trains - so you can crash 'em!"

I think I might give that offer a miss ... .

Hope it all goes back together again without too much bother.

Paul.

Only the roofs and sides fell off the two the K3 ploughed through. No long term damage, except my pride.

I am not recreating the great crash at Barnsley Junction so you can have laugh.

Not to laugh but for the rail accident investigators to work out what went wrong and what lessons can be learnt.

Ah! What went wrong.

The K3 on the outer line was supposed to cross over the inner line and enter the station. All the track set for such a move.

Spoitfy played a song I did not like so I went to click the skip button.

The Standard 4 tank that was pulling the Tri-ang cut and shuts on the inner line was going faster than I thought....actually I had forgot where it was before going to click the skip button.

The result was the the Standard 4 tank and its train were halfway over the crossing when the K3 and its train were being diverted into the station. BANG was not the sound I was expecting when I pressed the skip button. What made things even worse was, as I was sorting out the mess, and two songs later, was another song I didn't like.  Owing to the geography of the railway room I couldn't readily get to the skip button.

Lessons learnt, blame Spotify for playing a song I didn't like.

Make your own playlists...

But you don't get to hear new bands and tunes. Most of the time I can put up with songs that don't quite hit the right spot but now and then it is hit the skip icon.

I found this gang yesterday by not having a playlist.

What is Spotify? I wouldn’t even know how to start with it.  It’s too young for me.

Hi Richard,

So much for Spotify, it seems the cut and shuts were in an ify-Spot when the K3 biffed them.

That’s why I listen to Radio 3.

:-)

But you already know that I’m old fashioned.

Now they wouldn't have been had I not had to click the skip icon because I would have looked to see where they were and slammed on the brakes of both trains therefore derailing them.

Hi Richard

I am sure your very clever and lovely wife would be able to show you how to access it. Not only does it have the wonderful music I like but it does also have music for those who missed out on listening to Shoegaze, Indie, Post punk, Goth and other alternative music.

It fact it has loads old foggy music.

With DCC you could have hit the red button to avert disaster.

Just sayin'.
