2014 RHTT season

Recommended Posts

Don't worry.

Did you notice if the two 66s had DB stickers or EWS branding?

All EWS branding; beastie logos on the cabsides and not a trace of DB Schenker branding on either loco (on the side I was stood anyway!)

Looked like one at Ais Gill this evening, I was driving past and it was almost completely dark by then. Can't imagine too many leaves there! (I know they can't simply teleport to wherever there are leaves...)

The Carlisle/NW circuit passed Ais Gill about 1720. Plenty of leaves down my way as it passed a couple of hours later......

Cheers,

Mick

In the words of Monty Python...

"And now for something completely different"

RHTT on the London Underground - or to be more precise, the above ground parts of the Metropolitan line.

The sole surviving A stock unit working train no. 710, as a 5 car with no. 6036 the Rail Adhesion Car, at Harrow-on-the-hill on 12th November 2014.

This RHTT is listed as train no. 710 in the leaf fall timetable for the period up to 13th December 2014 for anyone wishing to see or photograph it.

The timetable is available here in TTN 157/14 on Transport for London's website;

Do you know what treatment(s) the LU train uses? Does it have water tanks mounted inside the cars?

According to information on the District Dave forum it's sandite applied by pumps from the rail adhesion car.

This mornings Sheffield-Sheffield via Wakefield working.

There's been so much vegetation removed from the lineside locally to me that I was going to go out and find some new vantage points for pics, but the fog is so bad this morning that I just stayed in the house !!

Cheers,

Phil.

Some photos of my local RHTT - 3S01, 09:20, Stowmarket D.G.L. - Stowmarket D.G.L. (18:21) - taken over the last couple of weeks, generally around Eccles Road (Ely/Norwich line)

During early November we had several bright sunny days, a major problem at the time the RHTT passes me, so forgive some of the quality.

One from Saturday of a NR MPV on a Chester to Wigan RHTT @ Plumley, not the best lighting but I quite like the remaining autumn colour in the trees and of course the Semaphore signal!

Is the lower half of the front of that thing orange rather than yellow? Is that allowed?

It is yellow in real life, the orange effect is a bit too much colour saturation by me during editing to make up for the lighting conditions!
