EddieB
It is a shame hear that the museum at Chateau Smårod, Munkedal had to close. It was still very much active when I passed by in 2002. Quite a curiosity as it had a huge layout in TT gauge, besides an extensive collection of locomotives and rolling stock in various scales from all over Europe. One of those occasions when I'd stopped mainly to photograph the preserved SJ stock, but ended up spending far too long thanks to a very zealous curator - I don't think they got that many visitors! The full size exhibits outside were the electric locomotive class Hg, and X6 class emu no. 261.

RMweb Gold The Pilotman Posted August 19, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 19, 2017 (edited) Lovely pictures of Gothenburg! I was there yesterday and the station and trains haven't changed that much. A few more EMU types running about now but there were a couple of those sturdy-looking locos there and the X2000 in the station. Thanks for posting! RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted August 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 25, 2017 Nice to see plenty of pics of Gothenburg - Stromstad - a route I did about 20 years ago when the European timetable Conference was held in Stromstad. Mike at C&M
Love these Swiss photos from the green era. Whilst I would love to return to Switzerland, the idea of lots of red SBB locomotives, Ausbaustrecke, base tunnels, private operators and container trains in abundance does not appeal to me. Suspect I am stuck in a time warp! Mike
