bike2steam Posted December 8, 2015 Share Posted December 8, 2015 I would say that pics 8 & 9 on post#557 are Oxley, the racecourse side, as well. 2,3,4 & 6 make me think Stafford Road ( 2 & 3 works, 4 & 6 shed) 6871 was booked in for work at Stafford Road works on 18th April 1963. Peter Although I wouldn't put money on it - it shows I'm not too sure, but to me 7 & 8 could be Swindon Works, and 9 could be Southall repair shop. I finally decided that the train is standing at Bordesley South's Home signal coming from the Midland line at Bordesley Junction. From the locos present, I would say it is the 19th Oct 1968. On second thoughts maybe 1967? Yes, it is definitely 1967, because in the first photo to the left of the DMU are the two Bulleids 34013 and 34100. And pictures 1 - 5 in Post 559 are all at Tyseley as various features match that place very closely. Post 569 is definitely Bristol Bath Road. This is the view looking the other way from the box http://www.warwickshirerailways.com/gwr/gwrbj1336.htm Definitely agree, this is a view I'm familiar with when working our 6V25 Bescot - Hinksey tripper - the bridge in front of the loco now has the northbound side of the A45 running beneath it and where the old brick building is on the left is now the site of the parking compound for the Citroen dealership. They are of the Calder Valley line between Heaton Lodge Junction and Mirfield, W Yorkshire.
