Brocp
No Ivatt Duchess in LMS Black? That's a surprise. Not surprised by the Nelson or a Streamlined Duchess. Overall not a bad range for steam fans.
RMweb Gold adb968008 Posted January 8, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 8, 2018 Blue Merchant Navy !!!!!!!!!! Need to calm down down now till I read the rest of it.
Big James
Awesome. Loads of nice new goodies. Plus 2 more light Pacific’s to add to my collection. I am definitely gonna get a Lord Nelson as the the maunsell locos have been awesome. Big james
centraltrains
Glad to see 121 in railroad! Shame I just brought the DCC Supplies limited edition Dapol chiltern 121 tho! Otherwise on a modern perspective: Nothing! Class 800 already announced, Had a class 50 last year [if that is "modern"]. Nothing else passenger stock wise for modern... HST is a non-modern livery sadly, tho I think most modern ones have already been made... Poor modern era modelers!!! Edit: Oh and a Virgin 87 with matching appropriate coaches... Still a bit too old for me!! Edited January 8, 2018 by centraltrains
RMweb Gold papagolfjuliet Posted January 8, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 8, 2018 Something Scottish at last. let's hope it does well and starts a trend.

ExplosiveCookie
Slightly annoyed that Maude seems to be being sold as DCC only - I might have to end up taking the plunge just because of this one model...
phil gollin
. Well, it looks like the little boys will be getting the majority of my money in 2018, but the Lord Nelsons and maunsell coaches will mean I will do my bit for Hornby. I hope they make a profit from them all. (IF this is the "full announcement", does this mean that "Scaledale" buildings have finished ?) .
LaGrange
Someone didnt do their research at all with that model of 50033, lets hope they do before it sees production. Nameplate position is wrong Pity they only offer the Intercity HST Power Cars as TTS sound too, they would sell well as a normal set And the Rudd/Clam/Tope wagons only appeared in the very late 80's/early 90's For the post steam modeller this is diabolical, but I appreciate Hornby need to appease the market that sells the most. They are still the 'definitive' Model Railway brand Edited January 8, 2018 by LaGrange
RMweb Premium 31A Posted January 8, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 8, 2018 Am I missing something? I can't see the NE Toad that's referred to in the heading.
phil gollin
Something Scottish at last. let's hope it does well and starts a trend. . I'm pleased for you, now you just need to get all the people who wanted "Scottish" locos to buy numerous examples to encourage the manufacturers. . joejab95
Fantastic to see a Virgin Trains Class 87! That'll do very nicely along with another rake of mk3s! Gonna be an expensive year for me!
40F
Slightly annoyed that Maude seems to be being sold as DCC only - I might have to end up taking the plunge just because of this one model... Why ? Take the chip out that is all that is needed surely.
Andy Y
(IF this is the "full announcement", does this mean that "Scaledale" buildings have finished ?) . The presentation information I had only showed an AA call box and I can only see that and an RAC box on their website.

APOLLO
A nice selection and thanks to Andy & Hornby. A Peckett and a J36 will do for me. i'll pre order to make sure of a Peckett this time !. Brit15
GreenGiraffe22
Meh, a shed load of BR again, but might be tempted by an SR Maunsell Dining carriage, think I was spoilt too much last year
45568
Oh wow....! On the phone trying to organise a second mortgage as we speak! Well done Hornby, blistering stuff. NXEA!
Pleased to see Toad B's and E's, and going by the pre-production shots it looks like they've sorted out the grain finish on Gresley Teaks, so i'll be ordering a couple, and a couple of Toads too. Not for me, but the J36 looks like it's going to be an absolute worldie, I can feel an impulse purchase coming on...
Steamport Southport
Wow. Expensive year for me I think. Loads of Southern stuff and streamlined Coronations. Highlights are the return of the Observation Car (never got one first time round) and the Maunsell Restaurant Car. I knew I shouldn't have bought any.......
