  1. DPD Delivered mine ahead of schedule as well, can confirm there is 1 motorised NDM and one dummy NDM.
  2. Liking the nameplates - I’ve always tried to avoid them in the past mainly as I’m worried about messing up the loco paintwork or getting them wonky. (I’ve got quite chunky fingers, not great at positioning small details) Has any one got any tips or advice on how to apply them? So what type of glue to use? How to get them aligned properly?
  3. I’ve just been trying to find some examples to help explain it better. I’m assuming your layout is something like this (maybe without the extra siding), when the points are are set for each loop they are independent of each other and can have a train on each controlled by separate controllers. When the points are set to allow the loco to cross to the other loop either controller can power the loco but you cannot have both controller providing power at the same time. It must be one or the other. This only works if you’re using regular fishplates between the points. Hope that helps
  4. You don’t need the insulated rail joiners between the points, that’ll be causing the problem. Once the loco passes over them it’s no longer getting power from the track.

  12. Funnily enough I had the same models - a 2013 CLS and a 2016 GLE, they both seem to share the same software. Looking on some of the MB forums it seems a few people have asked the question, the view is MB don’t want to give a false sense of security
  13. Not all new cars have ice warnings, my last 2 Mercedes’ haven’t and I’d prefer it if they did. They do show the outside temperature on one of the screens but it’s not shown all of the time (unlike the speed in kph - who needs that!). As an example, when I left home yesterday the temperature was 5C, it wasn’t icy, as I drove to Brighton the temperature dropped down to 0C, there wasn’t any indication it got colder without looking at the temperature indicator - I could not feel it in my nice warm car, the road didn’t look any different, but at 0C the damp looking patch could be black ice rather than just being damp. I suspect that’s what happened on the bridge in the video, but by the time you realise it’s too late to do anything about it. I get it that you shouldn’t need fancy electronics to be aware of the conditions but it’s a driver aid, design to help make better decisions quicker - no different to the blind spot indicator you see on wing mirrors now - do I need them? No, but would I miss them if they weren’t there? Yes.
  14. Went Christmas shopping at Bluewater today, not too busy but can’t imagine what it’ll be like at the weekend. Got to say I was impressed by the number of people wearing masks, would say over 95% compliance. There were a few wearing their masks around their chins, I think these people annoyed me more than those with no mask.

  17. It is an impressive sight, wasn’t hanging around either, quite impressed with my iPhone camera to get a sharp image - was expecting it to be blurred.

I’m confused, I thought the legal argument yesterday centred around the argument that it shouldn’t be reviewed as it didn’t get sent to the stewards in the first instance so there isn’t anything to review now, it was noted by race control and they deemed no action to be referred to the stewards. But this quote from the BBC website says the stewards did consider it: The ruling said: "There is nothing in the footage that fundamentally changes the facts. Nor even does this show anything that wasn't considered by the stewards at the time."
